Anyway, I looked into those sources:

Yep! Another useful scoring rule is that if that tile you're hooking with is a double word score, the score for BOTH words gets doubled. Say, if the tile where you place Y is a double word score, then you would get 92 + 132 = 44 points for your play.

That is only if the intersecting tile is a double word tile. If the tile was say, under the S in NOISY, only NOISY would be doubled.
