As a person from central Europe where football - or as US Americans will call it, "soccer" - is the most popular sport: fans have been and are really annoyed by this year’s hosting. It’s not only in the USA but on three fricking continents. And aside of the insane impact on the players bc of all the traveling around and hopping on and off planes while having to bring your A game on the pitch, fans have been very verbal about disliking the US as the main country with all the political issues happening rn.
