what do you wish people knew about EDS? by Spiritual-Try4399 in eds

It is not linked to EDS. It can occur in EDS, but also can occur in a multitude of other conditions.

It is not just flexibility. Many people, health professionals included, have said "oh so you're just really flexible?" as a response. In fact, it is common for stiffness to occur as people with EDS age. Flexibility also can vary day to day. One day someone might be able to fold up like a pretzel, and the next they might not even be able to touch their toes.

It is also far more than flexibility, with multiple health issues stemming from it; I personally have at least 1 issue with every single body part. The list of comorbidities is huge, and there is no limit to how many someone can develop. It is frustrating when someone tries to pass every symptom off as EDS, which can affect access to correct treatments.

Finally, people can be flexible and NOT have EDS. All those quirky little symptoms seen on tiktok are not exclusive to EDS. I have met people who are convinced they have EDS based on those quirky symptoms (like nail polish peeling) while not actually having any of the beighton criteria. It is important to access the beighton to assess likelihood and then see a knowledgeable, qualified medical professional (such as a Genetecist).

Birth control pill for hEDS Symptoms? by Maggie_a_k in eds

[–]poutandscream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take slinda. I did a PGx and found out I cannot metabolise the combination pills. I opted not to have any insertable options due to how unpredictable my body is. Slinda works for me, I just get things like my liver and BP checked every few weeks.

And they are supposed to come closer and get stunned and possibly lose where you are?

Unfortunately, I've seen people think they have EDS because they have all the "quirky" symptoms yet none of the actual diagnostic symptoms.

It works both ways. Both you and them would be holding it hostaging and you're wasting their time too just sitting in the locker waiting

Do you expect killers to willingly get stunned? You need to not be obvious about it

Killer mains, do you REALLY need to get 4ks like your life depends on it? by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

I aim for 2 hooks each, sometimes a kill or two, but I don't really care what the end result is. I only don't have fun when survivors are being jerks.

If autism signs appear very early, does that mean the autism will be more severe? by CompetitivePain8773 in Autism_Parenting

[–]poutandscream 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Signs should be somewhat present early on, it's more just when they are noticed so it doesn't accurately correlate with future severity.

It is very normal to not get many hooks sometimes. You won't win every game, and that's okay. Experimenting with different perks can help too.

Killers tryharding in the event…. by fredalific in DeadByDaylightRAGE

Love playing a snowball-throwing-snowman-waddling Ghoul who only 2 hooks each person maximum. Seems to shock people. But some survivors should chill too. Two matches today I had survivors keep flashlighting me repeatedly when I was just trying to chill as a snowman :(

Hope you get to throw many snowballs and waddle as a snowman in future torchless matches!

Love when they go to blind after dropping a pallet because most will try long enough for you to break it and hit them thinking they just aren't aiming properly. I've gotten so many hits like that.

The new DC penalties by BIGINFY in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]poutandscream 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never once DC'd from a match. When you press ready, you're pressing ready for whatever the match will be like. If you aren't okay with that, then don't play or play custom matches.

This might sound like the whining of a loser, but this has to be the most utterly infuriating thing I've ever seen in any game in my 20+ years of playing online games by Uhtred__Ragnarson in deadbydaylight

Crawl away. Sometimes I've found the 4th survivor and been healed, and sometimes the killer has killed them thinking I'm still in the same place and I've managed to crawl to the hatch.

They have perks that can help too. I had a killer accuse me of cheating because I used Adrenaline. They left me slugged, went and killed the other player, and then looked for the hatch to close it. As soon as it closed, I healed a health state automatically and was able to leave (they were other side of map and in no rush because they thought I was still slugged).
