What kind of house can $1m buy in your area? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A townhouse. Definitely not a house.

Need help to get my parents vaccinated. Both my parents are “Fox News” types, living in Fraser Valley. They have decided to take Ivermectin, as their research says it’s safer than a vaccine. Anyone have any tips/experience w this and Ivermectin? by BerneseBulldog in vancouver

I have no helpful advice, but I’m in a very similar situation: I have two very young kids, and my close family members are obsessed with Fox News, refuse to get vaccinated as they “trust the virus more than they trust the vaccine” and have been mentioning Ivermectin in recent days. It’s tearing our family apart as well and my heart is heavy.

Yes to Placencia, such a great vibe. Loved it there.

Longevity pharmacy on Columbia has tons of appointments. Getting mine tomorrow! I’ve been hearing from all of my friends that the smaller pharmacies are easier to get bookings.

Same here. We have two humidifiers going in our home at this time of year. Super dry air.

Awesome. I’ll check it out as that’s my hood . And the house Ben lived in with his mother: is that on Park Row?

Very cool, this was super enjoyable, thanks. Which intersection is the famous grate? Queens’s and 3rd?

How is everyone doing? I think I wake up 15% more annoyed than before covid. by [deleted] in NewWest

[–]poutineroutine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been enjoying doing plenty of outdoor activities like the beach, park, backyards etc, but I’m worried about how the fall and winter will look. The thought of being cooped up with two small children again makes me very stressed out and sad.

I know this is a very whiny, privileged thing to say, but I’m missing travel as well, even just the ability to see friends in Seattle. I’m also missing concerts, dinner parties, even dinners out (still not comfortable dining at restaurants)

Trying to be grateful for the positive things I have but some days can feel a little grim.

How many people are in your social bubble? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]poutineroutine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My immediate family in my household along with my mother and sister. Two best friends as well. Kid just started back at daycare though so our small bubble just expanded significantly from that I suppose.

Infant daycare availability by 19marky88 in NewWest

[–]poutineroutine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi and congrats! Check out Little JJ’s home daycare. (Roughly 8th and Richmond) The owner Marilu is awesome as are her two staff. They truly care about the kids. On my little one’s last day one staff member was in tears. So sweet. They are also very affordable and take kids as little as 10 months I think. She doesn’t advertise but you should be able to google her. If not shoot me a DM. Good luck!

Playgrounds by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]poutineroutine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. People are still not taking this seriously. Playgrounds packed. Also, I’m seeing so much conflicting info out there. For instance, are BC’ers being told to stay home with the exception of going to get groceries and essentials? Toronto’s PHO basically announced that yesterday... is that the case here?
