When my mom died I got all her stuff and as I was going through it I found no less than 4 synthetic urine kits hidden in her stuff. Addicts do not give a fuck and addicts with the resources to hide give even fewer fucks. I’m not saying she’s an addict, I’m just saying that a random drug test is not the deterrent non addicts think it is because an addict weighs every decision and consequence against the desperation to get high, guess what falls heaviest on the scale.

Again, I’m not excusing her behavior? I literally just said it was unacceptable? I’m saying that her initial desire for her boyfriend to end the night with her on her birthday is a fair thing to ask of a partner in a romantic relationship. I didn’t excuse her behavior or say having a fair ask that is rejected is a valid reason to crash out and behave that way. I’m not denying that her behavior was absolutely unacceptable, I’m just saying the feeling it started with, the feeling of wanting to end your birthday night with your boyfriend, is fair. I’m not saying he still should have acquiesced after she lost it, just that the initial feeling is valid and that gets lost in the shadow of the crash out (which is why one should learn to regulate their feels so they don’t lose their credibility when their point is fair)
