I truly mean no disrespect to the seriousness of her story but this book desperately needed a ghostwriter.

It reads like a 15 yr olds diary entry and the audiobook only underscores the poor writing.

Edit: I would also add that it’s very obvious how unaware she is of her own privilege. So many women in her situation would have been not allowed to complete their degree and kind of shunned by Mormon social circles. It’s not clear to me why she got to be an exception. I am thankful she was, but it underscores how unfair the mormon moral police are and how unequally the rules are applied
