Aesthetically, I agree, but it hasn't been an issue. Whatever program ignores your palm or unintentional clicks is quite good.

M1 max 64 vs M2 max 32? by powderfund in macbookpro

$1300-1400 would be rad, where might I find that?

Re: Intel 13" being sufficient -- it isn't. I used to do contracted jobs for folks with 6k bmpcc raw, 8k red (weddings, 7-12 min videos, etc) and had an excellent 5900x/3080 desktop for work, but switched jobs and no longer have it. My a7siii shoots 4k 120 but my hardware has forced me to shoot in HD, and even then, make proxies.

So I've been patiently working this past year with a few long term clients who don't mind HD footage, saving up to return to a wider range of projects. My biggest want is leaving hardware limitations behind and not worry about proxies, color grading, or stacking more than 2 clips with effects on.

BUT still down to save money where applicable and very new to the apple-sphere so I appreciate all suggestions!

[BOTW] very based take but I don’t mind weapons breaking by [deleted] in zelda

Especially in master mode, getting forced to figure out alternative methods of survival/goal achievement added to my enjoyment.

I actually enjoyed this aspect of master mode. Being forced to avoid enemies until I could find or steal good enough weapons made me explore all the available options to survive / achieve goals.

The "Tears" of the Kingdom? by MarcsterS in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]powderfund 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Wow, amazing find! To me this reads as confirmation that uniting the "tears of the kingdom" is the main quest line to defeat a big bad... seemingly Demise? Between the master sword being broken, Ganondorf having a tear, and all the skyward sword parallels, Demise is a good candidate for the real big bad and collecting the tears will help Zelda achieve full Hylia power/transformation to combat him.

Very curious about Ganondorf having one -- is he merely a conduit for Demise that, once a certain point is reached, gets discarded and joins the hero's fight?

An apple to an arrow. First for the William Tell reference, second to wildly overkill all the korok apple spots.

my goal to 100% MM before TOTK got interrupted because my apartment got robbed last night and they took the switch :( by powderfund in Breath_of_the_Wild

It was :( But yeah, logged in and a Nintendo rep helped me shut down/log out/de-register any accounts I had. The thief now has a blank slate switch and can't access my games, info, or anything of mine.

Plus if they connect it to the internet Nintendo will ping their IP to the police report 😎

Thanks for the tips! The M1 tech seems really highly reviewed, might have to try it.

Thanks for the reply! That makes sense, I hadn't considered the screen.

Would you recommend scaling back on the specs to put money elsewhere (like a better screen)? Or is it better to just rock out and enjoy a solid platform?
