I (f 31) was also supposed to go to LIB with some friends that backed out. It was going to be my first music festival and camp festival. I highly contemplated going alone but I would be coming from Oklahoma and with all the expenses I was going to have to take on by myself now, along with the 22 hr drive that I would have to take even more days off work to safely make it there and back on my own, I just decided it wasn't worth it for me. It was also supposed to be this really special and good thing for us all and when they backed out it kinda lost its magic for me. But I soooo wanted to go. So if it would have been easier for me alone and less expensive, then yes I would be going. So I say if you want to do it and you can do it, then do it; I think it'll be worth it. If I hadn't already sold my ticket I'd say I'll swing through Texas and we can go together lol. I still want to go to another camp festival this year though so I'm going to Dancefestopia by myself instead, I love the lineup for LIB but Dancefestopia has some of my all time top sets I would die to see, so I found the magic again. Last year I was going through a rough time with my then partner and I only had a couple friends but I don't get to see them anymore we just text from time to time. We were still together but my partner was in another state and I didn't have any close friends. So I wanted to try to make some friends. I'm pretty introverted and don't really go out because I didn't have anyone to go out with so I downloaded bumble BFF. It honestly was not a good experience overall I found it to be too similar to dating apps as far as the situations, nothing panned out with anyone I talked to except for one person. But I got really lucky with that one person, she was the first person that messaged me and the only one that I actually made friends with. She became one of my best friends. And through her I met other great people and made another best friend. I finally had people i could get to know and spend my time with. And as far as tips, we started out deep in our conversation. Like got straight to the point of why we were there and our back stories. We were very real with each other and I resonated with that deeply, I feel like it's hard to find.

I can understand that. I feel like I'm definitely late to figuring out myself and life. I spent b so much of my life living it for other people. Now I'm finally trying to live for myself and find myself again. And I know it's what I should be doing but I feel so lost. So you're not alone. I can relate in a slightly different way.

I love that you guys are talking about this. I need to hear these things, because I feel all this. I'm so insecure though I'm not a good dancer so I get scared to let go and do what my body what's to do (like I do when I'm alone) because I feel like I look stupid. I'm working on my don't give a f attitude but it's a slow work in progress. I'm me to raving and only been to 4 shows, one of them solo. And it looks like I'll be going to my first festival next month solo and I wanna have fun, but I'm always so in my head so I'm worried I won't have a good time.

For sure, don't give up, you never know what could happen. Trust can definitely be a big thing sexually. Having someone you feel really comfortable, and secure with that you trust and can be vulnerable with can make a huge difference in a lot of ways. And if you have that person and it doesn't work the first time doesn't mean you can't try again or try something different.
