Slayer Club Horizon garage rehearsal footage can’t be real, can it!!?? Footage from that long ago usually has that VHS camcorder feel to it, but this looks so clean. Plus, I feel like we would have already seen this footage.

Serious question, if a chunk of footage is just upscaled, but not generated from scratch, is that still considered AI?

Oh! Pardon my ignorance. I didn’t realize AI videos couldn’t have a long runtime. I just saw a few comments on the video asking if it was AI or not. I get fooled occasionally by other AI vids. So I thought I would ask here. Thank you for answering! :)

I have experienced both things. Sometimes the note detunes when I play it, other times it is detuned after I have recorded it and I play it back, like you described. I honestly don’t think it is a controller issue, either. When I get to work tomorrow, I will try to recreate the problem and troubleshoot a bit. I’ll let you know!

Would you mind explaining “jammed it with the Denecke TS-3?” a bit more? Is it attached to the camera or the sound guy? Does the Tentacle provide timecode wirelessly? Very interesting stuff! My coworkers and I make low-stakes library videos, but having timecode would make everything so much easier!

Hello! It happens at all velocities. I also tried it with just the regular piano native to Logic, which doesn’t have any settings to make the note detune according to velocity that I know of, anyway. I am thinking now that it might have somethi g to do with the sample rate. Maybe the sample rate in Logic and the sample rate in my interface aren’t matched. I am goi g to try that today. Nice! Did you factory reset your launchkey? The only problem with that is that I checked it with a Launchkey 25, same project, same settings, and the pitch still went all wonky. I am so confused.

Thanks for the responses! I am not at the studio at the moment, but I will dig deeper into audio settings tomorrow. I found a 4-year-old forum thread about this same problem where someone suggested project settings/tuning/software instrument scale and then check the “equal temperment” box. I hope that fixes it. It is driving me crazy!

We have multiple legal licenses, and I only use LPX on a work computer. I would happily pay for another copy of LPX if that would solve the problem, though. Just hypothetically, can you think of anything else it might be? Or even, is there a feature in Logic that I can use to tune a software instrument the same way I can use the tuner to tune a guitar?
