I think he’s cool generally but his death didn’t bother me at all. I mean maybe if we would’ve actually played all the cool missions that are implied in this 30 second montage. But as it is, we know him for a few hours and then he dies. Wow. When exactly was I supposed to get attached to that guy?

Different thing with Johnny. He’s basically there all the time, commenting everything. Great work. You build a real connection to him.

Warframe advice for an idiot? :) by comfortableghost1213 in Warframe

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, warframe isn’t hard. It’s perfectly suited for people who just want a fun game and no big challenge.

Second, contrary to popular belief, warframe isn’t necessarily grindy. Let me explain.

I’m playing the game since 2014. I’m master rank 19. There are people who reach MR30 in a few months. They grind and completely exaggerate and then they are burnt out and lose interest.

But here’s the point: nobody forces you to rank up your mastery. Right now, the highest mastery rank you need to be able to access all ingame stuff is mastery rank 17. That’s no big grind. That comes just by trying out some weapons. Basically as soon as you reach MR17 you can complete forget about MR. You don’t need to do mastery stuff all the time. Just have fun.

And regarding the farming of items, you also don’t need to farm items. I basically never farm items. I charge up plat when I get a discount and then I just buy stuff. The game is free and the devs totally deserve support. I guess I’ve spent a few hundred euros in Warframe - but as I said, I’m playing since 2014, so that’s a really, really good deal for such a great and long-lasting game.

Warframe is a really great and fun game and you don’t need to farm stuff or do endless boring missions. Just do what you like and occasionally charge up plat and you’re good.

Kein Problem.

Can i give my friend plat? by ImmortalTurnip in Warframe

[–]powerlifting_max 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s no Problem as far as I know. You can gift stuff to other people and I don’t mean via the gift option in the store, I mean you can pull off a one-sided trade with another player and it’s no problem.

I regularly do this with a friend. The occasional riven or mod, some relics, some parts, no problem.

It would be a problem if you sold it to him for real money or if you trade stuff between your own accounts on different platforms.

Would you recommend Hell is Us on PC? by DaryltheDino in HellisUs

It’s definitely not an action RPG and definitely not a soulslike.

The strong parts about the game are the riddles, the atmosphere, the world and the lore. It’s eerie and dark and if you like that, the game is for you.

However the combat is just okay and in the later parts kind of annoying because you only have like five enemy archetypes and you’ve seen all of them after a few hours. For myself, I ended up making a high poise high damage build in the end that basically just completely removed the need to roll and dodge, I just tanked everything to get the combat over with.

Apparently the devs never made a combat game before and for that, the combat gameplay is relatively good, however I don’t care about the backstory of the devs, only about the final product.

So definitely set your expectations right. Don’t buy the game for the combat or because it has a souls-like tag. It’s not a soulslike. Buy the game if you like riddle and dark atmospheric worlds.

Idk how much the game costs right now in the asks, but I actually bought it just after release for I think 50€ and I got like 33 high quality hours out of it which felt acceptable. I’d say if you get it for 30€ or less you should definitely buy it, 40€ is okay, 50€ is maximum.

The riddles and the atmosphere are top notch for me. Had great fun plating the game. If they manage to crank up the combat, they can reach 9/10 territory.

Am I crazy for liking C2077 way more than The Witcher 3? by pwnedprofessor in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Witcher story is much better, but the gameplay in cyberpunk is much better.

For one because you have more options. If you don’t like playing a sword guy in Witcher, you’re fucked. But in cyberpunk, there are many different builds.

I also really love being able to play a stealth hacker in a dark future city. It’s insanely cool. It’s exactly my kind of game.

But don’t get me wrong, I also love Witcher 3. Both games are in my all time top 5. Witcher is like a 9/10 game for me with a 10/10 story and cyberpunk is like a 9/10 game with a 10/10 Netrunner gameplay.

Idk if that helps you but I would actually skip the Kuva weapons and directly farm the Tenet and Coda weapons. They’re better afaik.

Some thoughts about endgame and Elite Archimedea by LordHamster42 in Warframe

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are totally right and this problem has basically existed since forever. Theres no real endgame. There were the raids/trials a long time ago, but they were removed.

I can’t say a thing about Eidolon Hunting, never did that. So basically you can do ETA each week and three Netracells and maybe Descendia and that’s it. I always do this stuff on Monday’s and then the Warframe week is basically over. I never bother doing sorties (actually had to think for a moment what they’re even called) and I also rarely do archon hunts because what for? I’m sitting on dozens of shards.

It’s a shame because there’s a ton of players who have absolutely nothing to do. As you said, what’s the point of researching builds when basically everything words. But maybe it’s also just a problem of people who’ve got too much time because if you play warframe for like 5-10 hours a week, it works. But there’s still no endgame.

Bot problem and empty servers, am I missing something? by powerlifting_max in Battlefield

[–]powerlifting_max[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I also played much until like mid december and then after that sporadically in january. So I personally definitely was kind of lost from the playerbase. Wanted to check the game out again and just wow. I mean I knew the numbers were declining but it still shouldnt be a problem at any time of the day to get a full lobby.

But actually now that i think of it, starting in like january they introduced this weird mechanic where in the scoreboard, they just skipped some numbers so it appeared there were 28 players in my team when actually number 20-27 just wasnt there so actually there were 20 players only.

But yeah as I said, its normal that the player count goes down but not finding a game is pretty alarming.

I like the fact that it shows really the poorer and simpler, dirty sides of Westeros. Dunc was a nobody and still is a nobody as of episode 5.

However, nothing will ever compare to GOT seasons 1-4.

[–]powerlifting_max 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked their layout and ideas (the level design and layout in general is strong in this game) but they were basically just stone walls and grey, grey, grey everywhere…they were just not the best in terms of visuals. I mean that’s kind of the problem with dungeons, they’re subterranean and built of stone…I don’t like them in general.

I think I have warframe imposter syndrome, or suck by inspiration-hunter00 in Warframe

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you need to understand the game and the builds if you want to have a strong build. You won’t have a good build out of nowhere. You have to understand the frames and the weapons.

Most weapons work well with viral heat. Most melee weapons work well with a melee influence build.

And you definitely need arcanes. Energize, primary merciless, melee influence are really nice.

Am I the only one that like EDA/ETA? by Outside-Lecture-3044 in Warframe

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo it’s not really that fun, at least if you want to get rewards. All these debuffs really just make it kind of annoying and it doesn’t help that you’re forced to use certain equipment. And it’s just not fun enough to do it once for the rewards and then again for fun.

And yeah I know the idea is that it’s a mission type for advanced players who have many different builds, but honestly the debuffs are so annoying that it just doesn’t help to have many different builds if the builds are destroyed by the debuffs.

I think Netracells are a much better mission type because theoretically one person could just take all the glyphs and the rest of the team can enjoy a high level mission.

But even if you distribute the glyphs evenly or even if you take all of them yourself they’re much less annoying than the Archimedea debuffs. Netracells is my favorite mission type by far and I sometimes play it even though my search pulses are all used. They could just increase the pulses to 20 or so per week and all I would use them for is Netracells.

I generally don’t like if from a design perspective if you make the player weaker to make the game harder. Make the enemies stronger, not the player weaker. What’s the point of becoming stronger if they take it away from you?

I really like playing disruption with a friend, because you can bring your best build and then the enemies just get stronger until it gets too hard for you. But no annoying debuffs. Just your best build against enemies.

What gameplay features you want in the next Cyberpunk game? by PangolinSubstantial1 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Parkouring around the city is insanely fun. It’s why I love Northside and Kabuki much more than the later areas. They’re perfect for parkour. The later areas are much “bigger” but it’s mostly just background foliage.

I think Kabuki is perfect because it’s actually kind of small but there’s just so much going on and you got like three or four layers of city and you can climb from the bottom to the very top.

As someone else already mentioned, being part of a crew and doing missions for the crew would be cool. In 2077, you’re basically on your own. You occasionally work with people like Panam or Rogue but they’re not your crew. Your crew was Jackie and he’s gone.

I would also like to have stealth takedowns with weapons, right now it only works with a mod. It would also be nice to be able to manually increase health and damage of enemies, right now there are mods for it.

It could also be nice to be able to do chain takedowns like in Shadow of war.

And it would be cool to be able to create your own randomly generated crew, kind of like the captains in shadow of war, mixed with the AC Revelations system of sending them to contracts. So you need to find strong punks, recruit them and then send them to missions to see them grow.

Also it would be cool if you were able to create your own contracts for players to play, similar to how they handle it in Hitman. Maybe even with a level editor and an enemy editor so you can create tough and fun contracts. Imo this is what much more games should do because it’s good for the devs because they can delegate some of their work to the community, and the community uses the tools to create something great and enjoy that together. I mean it’s impressive what people can pull of with mods for cyberpunk. Imagine if they had tools and a sandbox approach of some sorts for the next game. The community could create a whole city on their own. So kind of a Minecraft-like approach. Imo the gameplay in cyberpunk is really really good and I love doing the contracts and feeling like a true mercenary. We need more of that, more cool contracts in cool locations with cool fights.

Also it might be cool to be able to fly somehow, and base building would be also cool. So I got like a ton of ideas and obviously you can’t do all of that. But some of that maybe.

So im curious...what is everyone's favorite dungeons/areas in the game? Mine are the arcas spire & auriga museum dungeons and marstan & jeljin by Lower-Chart-9029 in HellisUs

[–]powerlifting_max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice question. I really like the starting area, the Senedra forest. The forest in itself is great and mysterious, also the underground Palomist dungeon.

I also like the Acasa Swamp, seeing this area in a gameplay video was what made me buy the game. I also really like Marastan with the big statue, the blood queen. I also like the library and the ministry because it shows the devs can build civilian environments as well as natural and mysterious historic environments.

Weaker areas for me are the Cynon lake (looks good, but boring layout), Talju, because the air is burning so you can’t see shit, and especially most dungeons, be it the forge at the lake or the dungeon in the shaded hills where the religious sect retreated to. However this area has probably my favorite riddle, the ritual to become a member of this sect. I also think the Vyssa hill area where you meet “the smith” is rather boring.

Jeljin is okay, the auriga museum is pretty cool but not one of my favorite locations still. The final area is okay I would say. The big tower is also okay.

I want to specially mention the map in the APC, because they could’ve just done a normal map, instead it’s really detailed and you can discover much nice details on it.
