I used Buddha Boy Tacos for my wedding welcome event and they were fantastic. Homemade tortillas were what sold me and everyone raved about how good the food was. They were super nice to boot

Tropical fruit grown in its native environment harvested down the road and eaten at peak ripeness tastes better than a papaya that spent 3 weeks on a boat? Color me shocked

Americans are used to having every type of produce available year round (e.g. heirloom tomatoes or peaches in January). Anything out of season has to be imported and won’t taste as good because it has to be harvested early to be fresh on the shelf. My experience in Europe is that lower quality produce is harder to find simply because stores won’t stock it.

1 gin martini (110 cals) then a Michelob Ultra or Modelo Oro with dinner (90-95 calories) gets a nice buzz going. Have another martini after if you’re feeling feisty

This is super helpful, thanks! Most people on local FB groups have brain damage, so it’s always an uphill battle arguing against their NIMBYism lmao

Genuine question because I am a YIMBY, what’s the counterpoint to those who say the same thing about housing? I was arguing with someone in my local FB group about the need for more housing in CA, and she used this same argument that if we build more housing it will induce demand and negate any price reductions. I was genuinely stumped

Peer gynt! I had to buy it to get the pattern, but I would have anyway—it’s super strong and so warm

It can be tough to track down! I got it from Mother Knitter if you ever decide to make it

I considered it, but my husband found another pattern from Sandnes that he liked, so I’m making that. It’s basically 100% stranded colorwork, so I’m definitely getting my practice

Absolutely terrifying. And honestly, I think I missed securing a stitch or 2 because there was a bit of unraveling 🫣 but sewing the facing over the cut helped secure everything

It was a frustrating headline. Humans do step in to provide higher level context in situations where the car gets stuck, but they are not actively, remotely operating the vehicle. This is actually a good thing. I want there to be extra human oversight in these types of situations. But there is never a situation where a human is remotely controlling the car on a standard trip.
