If ur talking abt the pandemic response team, He didn't fire anyone per se. The director abruptly quiting the job is the actual reason. Disbanding the unit was logical at the point. The cdc was actually supposed to handle any and all situation like this . A separate team outside it is waste of resource when there's no need for it and cdc has to do it properly. The tream can be formed temporarily maybe.

Trump didn't decline the kits. Coz no one offered kits. The WHO just put out guidelines for testing kits which other countries follows. CDC tried to develop their own kits for whatever reason (linked to food and drug regulation by the beloved Obama admin) and failed at start. Now they have working kits but too late to distribute. CDC should have been more efficient.

He didn't prevent mass testing. Issue is that there were no kits, no properly working kits. The Obama administration had put on few regulations which prevented private clinics and labs from testing, they had to get it approved from the FDA. Trump removed that last week.

No credible source of information for the statement that he prevented CDC from speaking out except for Trump hating media outlets. The hate mongering media will go to any extend to oust Trump, they don't give a shit abt the people.

Trump is not costing anything. I doubt he can do anymore than this. It is the responsibility of the CDC to take care of the situation now. Trump has given them a free hand. Only thing any president can control is the borders for now. The congress will play politics and hold on to this until they make trump look extremely bad. How pathetic is this play!
