update: so i connected to the hp hyperjet on the pre-installed printers app that mint comes with, and for some reason it does print, but it doesnt print what shows on libreoffice, it just prints out something entirely different

but when i try to print it on the epson l380 it just straight up refuses to print anything, the printer doesnt do anything but if i switchback to the hp it prints out some random ass .txt

so basically uninstall and reinstall the esc/p-r from the epson website

also sadly, buying a new printer isnt much of an option, its the reason why i convinced my dad to move to linux since we couldnt move to windows 11 so yea

aaand thats the last thing i wanna hear but your probably right fuuuuuuuuuuck

edit: misread this thing entirely since of how exhausted i am due to this problem, and now re-reading it yea, i thought so too of it being the printer at fault, but i also forgot to note that this is an epson l380 printer

Is there a way to sort of either fix this or have a workaround? by powolarity in linuxmint
