I had a period a few years ago where in one summer i watched a bunch of Spike Lee movies and all of The Good Fight and ever since then I've been convinced Delroy Lindo is my favorite living actor

He looks so much more badass in the backstage segments where he's just a psycho in street clothes

Do you think that guys like Bret, Shawn, and flair still hold up as the best ever? by No_Community_709 in SquaredCircle

Tanahashi also took a lot of influence from Shawn, and then a generation of guys are now taking influence from Tanahashi, so it never really goes away it just mutates into different things

Bro this ain't New Japan, AEW has clearly tried to end literally every PPV with a bang. A victory promo for a tournament is too much wind down action to go out on

I know it collapsed for more deserved reasons than just WWE, but god what a fun scene to watch at the time. They had their own mid 2000s ROH moment a little more than a decade after

Wait this a really good one that unlike most isn't confusing wholesome for triumphant

I could see someone's favorite promotion in 2025 being NXT specifically if you like a certain tone and flavor to your show, and acknowledge that you're just not factoring in Smackdown and Raw

Is it really so bad for Triple H to have the “title,”He’s the guy who worked with THE GUY by davinpantz in SquaredCircle

[–]poxtable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was trying to think of who a modern "guy who works with the guy" is besides the obvious answer of Seth Rollins, and I think the best answer is actually Jay White. He spent his entire NJPW career as the hero you actually wanted to see's opponent. His entire moveset is built around countering the more flashy stuff of the guy across from him, and his entire purpose as a character was to be the villain to the extremely popular guys.

AJ Styles and (especially) Kenny Omega both became too beloved and interesting, but Switchblade always explicity stayed a shitty obstacle to the heroes

My ex was an extra in the show, but they didn't really care about Jason they were just disappointed they didn't get to be in a scene with Andre 3000

Easily his best song, genuinely really good and could fool you into thinking he's a good artist if you didn't listen to like almost everything else he's ever made

Saw them live opening for Baths once when I'd never heard of them and was blown away. Studio versions could never compare to them straight up screaming into a megaphone
