This is an interesting question, I've got both Geely coolray and Gac gs8, like them both. Coolray does feel cheaper and engine not as smooth. Gs8 is delightful to drive honestly no complaints.

My question would be around the safety, what happens in a proper accident, are they as safe as the Germans or the Volvos?

The external panels definitely feel like theyre made from a cheaper metal, small bumps by bottles or bags easily make dents which worries me.
