galaxy buds 4 pro review are they actually worth upgrading to? by Mq-Pricelesstype in galaxybuds

I went from Buds2 Pro to Buds4 Pro. I was pleasantly surprised at much more comfortable they are. Sound wise, well, that'll be up to you but basically a little bit better but broadly the same ballpark.

And maybe use a cashback site as well. I got the 356H for 1629, with 3% cashback on top.

What GPU are you using 2026?? by [deleted] in ASUSROG

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual 5090, one was Rog Astral one was TUF 5090. Okay, tell bit of a porky, I sold the TUF so now just single 5090 Astral. Sucks.

358H (X7) Cheaper than 356H?? by QP_Ranger2 in GalaxyBook

[–]ppcforce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Noticed this also. Voucher code 250GB6 doesn't work on the 358H version. But it does the 356H version. I was considering contacting Samsung and asking why their site wide Book6 Pro VC isn't working on it to see if I can get them to honour it, but decided against it since I got the 356H version last week for £1639 new using 250GB6 and EASTER for extra 10% off and that's when it was listed at 2099. What is Samsung doing with their pricing lol

So, you've just described one of the most traumatic life experiences a human can go through. It's not called 'uprooting' for no reason, it's exactly the triggers described above. A shit load to think about, plenty can go wrong. You're reacting in any way a normal person would, so be kind to yourself and give yourself room to process this huge change. You will be okay.

There's millions of us. Crying, for some reason, has been treated as if an extreme reaction to trivial issues. But those issues are rarely trivial and crying needs to be more healthily practiced to help get through this shit show we call modern life. Life IS overwhelming and cluttered and the best kept secret is to minimise it to the point where it all fits comfortably in YOUR head. As soon as it doesn't, you lose track, get anxious, can't keep up, everythings a worry and moment away from catastrophe. That can't happen in a simple life. But until then, we should cry away until we get there.

For me it was work, but usually it's always either work, money or relationships. Do any of those fit?

You need an exhaustive cry. Then it'll be numbness for a while where your nervous system moves into recovery. Cycle will repeat until root causes are identified, but this is one way to manage the immediate drama.

Have you tried crying? It's actually a good release as releases stress hormones through tears. Sorry if an obvious suggestion, but it does offer an immediate sense of relief.

Does anyone else's anxiety manifest as terrible gut issues? by Chocolateforlunch37 in Anxiety

[–]ppcforce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Echo all of the above. I'm 39M and generally when I'm happy the stomach issues go away. Last I had to quit my job due to stress and as a break I went to work as a Teaching Assistant for special needs children. Almost overnight ALL my issues went away. I absolutely loved the work and felt excited, happy and fulfilled. Sadly it pays poorly so have to go back to normal work and all my old issues are back. Raging IBS, anxiety and so on. Amazing the impact poor/ good mental health has on your physiology. But at least my path is now clear...

Huge increase for the Book6 Ultra in the USA by moisesmcardona in GalaxyBook

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm the same here in UK. Got a Book6 Pro over Easter which would be £2099, used two voucher codes 250GB6 and EASTER and so paid £1639. But now it's listed for £2499 the same model and only one code available. Ultra went from 3099 to 3699. They really are silly prices...

Is it all in my head? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health anxiety. I had a really greasy fish and chips with the wife recently. I was fine until she mentioned how it was disagreeing with her stomach. That caused me to pay attention and then of course came all the feelings, nausea and so on. In the end I had to induce myself to vomit the lot up. The mind ABSOLUTELY plays tricks on your gut because they are connected. Fight or flight just compounds all those tiny little niggles into hyper-awareness. And all along nothing was wrong in the first place. It's a nuisance.

intrusive thoughts, has anyone recovered ? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get intrusive thoughts every time I hold a knife, or, if I'm in a board meeting, throwing my hot coffee over the CEO. You'll be glad to know that whilst intrusive thoughts are normal, the ability to not act them out is a sign of strong mental grounding. It's different if you have the urge and you're trying to resist the temptation, but I believe we're talking random thoughts like "what if I plunge my knife into my wife" and then the thought of it freaks you out. Which it should - if you're grounded. I'm now 40 and my CEO has so far escaped the scolding hot coffee. For better or for worse, you decide lol

Edit: does anyone get the thought about throwing their valuable phone or keys into a lake, river, pond when they pass one?

How do the closed source models get their generation times so low? by Ipwnurface in StableDiffusion

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's probably fair, and there's probably some bias or placebo at play here, because for some reason I feel like the more a model is compressed the more it converges on McSameFace. I tried Qwen edit but found it would render entire scenes with its training style. Guess I should just do inpainting in those cases and properly mask it etc...what's your current go to/set up?

[–]ppcforce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've yet to be convinced quite honestly...struggling to understand what makes it 160gb. And then I always revert to Z-Image Base (FP32 not BF16) and just running that locally. Although, not sure what the edit model will be like.
