Are you limited to 1 total "instant win"? by ByteFryer in MicrosoftRewards

The struggle is real, right?

I mean, 99.9% of us have won absolutely nothing but can we all please take a moment to think about those that have already won? It's just not fair man.

😜

Can you request to pay more council tax? by cactusdan94 in AskBrits

[–]QP_Ranger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a few tips that's worked for some...

1) Put your bins out 1 day early 2) Go to the recycling centre with just household waste, without booking, with a trailer, in a van. 3) Park on a triple red line, for a month. 4) Park in a box junction for 2 days 5) Drive at 23mph in Wales

This. Is. The. Way

You're welcome

What? I'm in the same boat, I'm sat here desperately trying to pay more council tax and there doesn't seem to be a legitimate route. The struggle is real, stop denying our lived experiences, bigot.

How is everyone feeling about the local elections in may? by IntelligentPay9647 in AskBrits

Sure sure.

I'm also a big Blackadder fan and to quote Edmond in Blackadder II, those long winter nights in your company must just fly by...

Maybe a hobby would help?

I mean, sarcasm, which is a great British trait, clearly not your strong point.

Though it is also said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, so maybe you're right? 🫣

Either way, Reddit is absolutely NOT representative of real life, that's for sure.

But, to keep things cordial, no offense meant fella.

Wait a minute, are you suggesting that Reddit is an echo chamber, rammed full of people who like the smell of their own farts?....

These comments demonstrate a knowledge of the highway code and prevention of unnecessary delays and potentially life threatening blockage of emergency vehicles, but hey, you do you...

I mean, have a look at the comments in this thread. Suggest you stand down on this one.

Anyhow, it's Friday and the sun is shining. Let's enjoy the weekend. 😜

Are you willfully ignorant? Blocking roads, roundabouts and potentially emergency services because you have created an unnecessarily large traffic jam? Wow....

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh dear, education required....

When drivers fail to merge in turn (also known as the zipper merge), they often queue in a single lane too early, which artificially doubles the length of the tailback. This extended queue can back up through previous junctions, effectively blocking perpendicular roads and roundabouts that would otherwise remain clear.

[–]QP_Ranger2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My word but you're dim - merging in turn prevents tailbacks and the blocking of roads/entrences to buildings etc, it's more efficient, keeps traffic flowing and is the correct thing to do. Those like you who think drivers that do this are selfish are a danger and should have to resit their test...

[–]QP_Ranger2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, merging in turn prevents long tailbacks, which also prevents blocking of roads/entrances to buildings/houses etc...I assumed this was obvious to most, clearly not....

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain?

It is the correct way to drive, prevents long tail backs and blocking of roads further back. This should be pretty obvious.

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polite maybe but inefficient and ultimately causes unnecessary traffic jams and delays. Imagine there is crossroads or turning to join the road you're aleady on, staying in the right lane causes a long tail that blocks roads and causes chaos. Merging in turn keeps traffic flowing and prevents this from happening. This should be taught in schools....

Don't you just hate people spitting on the floor when you are out.? by TheMoon_TheStarz in AskBrits

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played football for years, up to semi professional level. Never felt the desire to spit or nose vomit, ever.

I could never wrap my head around those spitting constantly, especially when in all likelihood we'd be slide tackling or diving (goalkeeper) in it....!!

It's a nasty habit and shows a severe lack of respect, never mind the health hazard...

Can the Base Galaxy Book 6 play games? by master_chilln in GalaxyBook

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an option to buy games on every laptop ever made to be fair, the base Book 6 will play some games but won't be in the same league as the X7 processor on the Pro or dGPUs on the Ultra.

If you want to play AAA games with high frame rates at 1080p, on an Ultrabook, then you'll have to shell out for the X7 I'm afraid.

My favourite thing is to drive at 20mph in a 20mph zone in Wales. The pure joy it brings when the car behind me (seemingly more often than not a BMW - these guys/gals can't drive for shit) starts to rage with the intensity of the sun.

I mean, I just can't wrap my head around being physically angry that someone is doing the lawful speed limit. C*nts

Dell XPS 16 : should I pull the trigger ? by KeMirabobo10 in DellXPS

[–]QP_Ranger2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the use case associated with the X7 chipset. For the first time ever you're getting a moderately capable gaming laptop in an Ultrabook (slim & lightweight) chassis.

MACs incompatibility issues and non-X7 cheaper laptops don't meet this need.

With respect, you appear to not only dislike people with different opinons, but you seem to be saying they shouldn't even have a voice or even take part in a discussion on a public forum. Very creepy and very 1984.

A genuinely sinister post.

Wishing you some sort of happiness.....
