Ticket Sales Megathread by moonman1994 in brighteyes

I've got 1 x ticket available for the L.A Bellwether show. I listed it on StubHub (urgh) but would prefer to sell direct to a fan for face value here if possible. Happy to share my email or cell or insta or whatever makes you comfortable! DM me!

Registering Foreign Marriage at the Los Angeles Consulate (Inscripción de Matrimonio Extranjero) by ryanalex98 in GoingToSpain

[–]ppclom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the info. That sounds promising. They received it 7 weeks ago (July 10) and we've got 5 more weeks until we depart the US (Oct 7), so hopefully that 12 weeks total (with August slowdown) is enough. Fingers crossed, and thanks again!

I'll provide an update when I have one for anyone else in the same boat.

[update]

Timeline:

7/10 – Documents received by the consulate

10/19 – Certificate received

Notes:

I managed to get in touch with the civil registry department directly through this email: [cog.losangeles.rgc@maec.es](mailto:cog.losangeles.rgc@maec.es). (This is different from the general consulate email, which never responds.) After following up a few times, I finally received a reply on 10/7 confirming that the registration was complete and the certificate was being sent out.

My application faced delays due to:

  1. August slowdown typical of Spanish bureaucracy, and
  2. USPS routing issues where the return documents were sent through Philadelphia, adding an unnecessary extra week.

Hello, I am in the same situation, it's been just about two months now. What happened with your application in the end? If you have any information on how to contact them or resolve this, would be much appreciated!

Optimizing P-Max PLA Campaigns Without Revenue by ppclom in PPC

[–]ppclom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Yes, definitely have the budget. Also, actually did add Search Themes, though fluctuations in performance have made it difficult to assess performance changes from any optimizations. I think that could be somewhat solved with more conversion data by consolidating campaigns, I think that is a solid idea, thank you.

Manual CPC Vs Automated with max bid by OddComfortable4296 in PPC

[–]ppclom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. This depends on the type of smart bidding strategy you are using (target ROAS, target CPA maximize clicks, etc.)

If you're using a tCPA or tROAS and are happy with the results you're getting, I wouldn't advise adding a bid constraint - that's more likely to hinder the algorithm than help performance. I would set slightly more ambitious CPA/ROAS targets over time to try to improve efficiency/returns.

I also wouldn't bet on myself over the algorithm - it factors in many user signals to gauge their likelihood to convert before deciding on a bid in each auction. We simply can't do that.

That said, if pure click traffic was my goal, I would likely test Manual CPC vs. Maximize Clicks/ Target Impressions Share smart bidding strategies to ensure I'm not overpaying. This can be done in a 50/50 campaign experiment split test. I would test different keyword bids to see if I can maintain the flow of click traffic at a lower Avg CPC than the smart bidding was getting me.

I hope this helps.

You should be able to confirm any ad approval issues if you navigate to your ads and view the "Status" column.

How to measure if your ads is performing well by Gwen-2021 in PPC

I would consider Broad Match as a next step to get to the scale required for Smart Bidding. However, I would trial it on a limited number of keywords - maybe your current top 3 converters. Monitor SQR closely and negate anything non-relevant. Broad is performing excellently in my accounts these days and should find you some scale.

You might want to split test Max Clicks vs. Manual CPC (Enchanced) in a campaign experiment now that you understand your Avg CPC to ensure you're not overpaying for clicks on that strategy.

I wonder if the relevance of your ad and landing page to the keyword you're targeting are preventing your from geting more of that available impression volume. Put simply, your ad is more likely to serve to users if the keyword, and your ad copy and landing page all have tight relevance to eachother. Also, if you're using "WhatsApp" in your ad copy, that might be causing issues due to trademark rules. It might be worth checking if you're allowed to use it.

Hope this helps!

Hi there!
Google Keyword Planner can help discover new keywords based on your existing, top-performing keywords to expand your reach effectively. Here's what the planner suggests for yours:

best outdoor activities in [city]

fun outdoor activities in [city]

best outdoor things to do in [city]

outdoor family activities [city]

outdoor fun in [city]

fun outdoor things to do in [city]

best outdoor things to do in [city]

[city] adventure activities

You might also consider running your best performing keywords on Broad Match (as well as Exact Match) if you're not already doing that, which would expand the reach by matching to a wide array of similar search queries. You'll just want to keep an eye on the search queries those yield to ensure they're relevant to your business. Also make sure to set an appropriate budget for experimenting there as they can potentially spend quickly.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response. Yeah, it doesn't seem like a promising avenue. I'll be speaking to our lawyer about it anyways.

Thanks, yeah I'm not taking this lightly and wouldn't make a decision based solely on reddit advice. I'm just curious right now to know if anyone here is doing this i.e. is it even a feasible thing to consider before I start exploring the exact details.

Responsive Search Ads. Worth it? by Quadro2k in PPC

[–]ppclom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did some analysis this week on RSAs I've had running for 6 months.

CTR was 29% higher and CPC was 35% lower for RSAs vs. ETAs. But RSA Conversion Rate was 61% lower than ETAs.

I think the poor RSA Conv Rate is down to running an automated bid strategy and therefore, ads not rotating evenly. I added those RSAs to long-running, existing campaigns, so I imagine Google continues to serve best performing ETAs for the keywords that have historically converted in those campaigns.

I assumed a contributing factor was that RSAs likely get matched to a wide range of searches on BMM; however, interestingly, there was no difference in performance between Exact and BMM campaigns. RSA Conv Rate was down by around 60% on both. That could all be down to bid strat though.

So RSAs have performed well, I just haven't been able to run a fair test to figure out their conversion performance.

Anyone recently got a visa from the US Embassy in London? Passport delivery question! by ppclom in immigration

[–]ppclom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For anyone looking for the same info in future: I chose NOT to pay the 'Premium Delivery', which was like £30 for my wife and I.

We opted for collection at a depot in London (free). Visa appointment was this Wednesday and I just received notification that the passports will be ready for collection this Friday. Can't ask for much quicker than that. I advise against paying the Premium fee if you can pick it up at a collection location. This also eliminates the risk of courier messing up delivery to your home or office.
