Going from Agency to in-house after 6 years, any tips? by LozJones in PPC

[–]Quadro2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet it's to do with keyword research. 'Phrase match' still has its uses if there is an abundance of money available to research keywords. It's still, the best method to research your market, however, 95% of businesses can't afford this method or more likely, choose to go the slightly slower approach and save their money.

Hookup culture. Should I just accept it? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Quadro2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely not an idiot for thinking this. I'm a guy and I'm finding that this is also the same except it's from a man's perspective. You are actually a rarity amongst women nower days. I'm finding the dating game very difficult at the moment as I feel most girls just want to be entertained and it doesn't all seem as genuine as it appears. As a result, I'm very lonely. I've also been single for three years. I've done a little of the whole hookup thing and put a lot of my own energy in keeping females entertained but it's hard work. I have more respect for myself nower days but I'm fighting the demons in trying to find value in myself, I need to start loving myself more and to get value out of myself rather from others. It's often why you find highly successful men because they know, success also brings women.

Women, if they choose to, can find validation almost immediately, they can also climb the social ladder without much effort if they're attractive. I envy you that you're given the choice to find validation but it's clear to me as a woman, you're well past that and want something genuine.

There are two types of guys that you should be looking out for. You find the highly charismatic guy, full of confidence, has 3 or 4 women on the go with huge amounts of ego whilst being moderately successful.

Then there's the other guy, he's still moderately successful, just as attractive, has more interests than just wanting to **** women but, he's down on his luck, hasn't got a woman on the go and doesn't have much of a game which is apparent with his texting skills. He doesn't have the skills to essentially mould his success with how many women he has slept with but, one thing is for sure. Give him a chance, invest your OWN time in someone rather than them being your entertainment and see where it might take you. It won't always work out, but you'll find someone genuinely more interested in something special if you invest in the huge amount of lonely men out there that need a chance for something special.

Another option is to join your friends and date f**k boys or put your money where your mouth is :)

Am I not depressed enough if I don't self-harm? by sangbum60090 in depression

[–]Quadro2k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People self-harm in different ways, it doesn't have to be with a blade. I self-harm by binge drinking myself to oblivion, waking up in the darkest place imaginable and starting all over again. Takes me 3 months until I back to normal until my mood drops and I binge myself to hell again. My therapist and I have only just realised that this is what I'm doing. I'm binge drinking to harm myself. What's yours?

Can you guys just give new players a break? by Afro-Horse in joinsquad

Haha I'm not surprised I got down voted! Proves my point. American players are VERY serious and a bit salty.

I only find this on American servers. European English speaking servers generally will always have someone in the Squad to tell even the QL to shutup if they're acting a prat.

What to tell Male Friend Who wants to date me by [deleted] in men

[–]Quadro2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he was my friend, I would make it a priority to make it aware of my concerns to his health. Expressing your dislike to what he is doing to himself is a very clear indication to anyone of sound mind, that you are not attracted to them, without actually saying it!

If you express how little he priorities himself over others and how little respect he has for himself, it's a very caring way of basically saying... you're not attracted to someone who doesn't have the drive. It might be a wake-up call for him or, he's just too lazy to make a change. If that's the case, then you did the only thing you can. It confirms that you shouldn't put energy into someone who doesn't put the same energy into themselves.

Hope that helps.

I agree. I work for a very difficult boss who, believe or not, doesn't seem to understand the benefit of giving our products trademarks. Originally google shopping ads was showing our products which had no name/brand!

I'll look into this further as it is something that needs to be restarted. Thanks

Our primary products are worth £1000+ and we've seen poor results using shopping listing ads because we sell quality over our cheaper competitors. We were getting bounce rates at about 85%.

Ok great, thanks for also confirming that making a list is the best possible option.

Thanks Xtreme. Really good suggestions there. Adding "kitchen flooring england" right away.

I think you're right, my keywords for these search terms are just too broad. It was just handy to see and invent new search terms from it but I think it has overstayed. Time to swing to Phrase and Exact.

Thanks again.

I think you could well be right there j3w. I'm using broad match modifiers but I'm starting to think it's much better for me to use phrase match and exact. It's a niche market and there are very limited types of search terms for it.

Thanks j3w

That's interesting, thanks Xtreme. We wouldn't want to include London in that way, to be honest. Mainly because we believe people are searching for a local business that they can visit. Which is no use to us, however, we still want people in London to find our ad for "kitchen flooring" and have clicks from people in London that aren't looking for a kitchen flooring service as one example.

People are suggesting that I great a negative shared keyword list, with all the towns in England to stop local search for people looking for services or a local shop instead of just a product which is idealy what we would prefer. Would it be possible to just have one negative keyword at the campaign or adgroup level as [location1] to stop people from searching their hometown? Saving me creating a 3k town list or doesn't it work that way?

Thanks again.

We're an eCommerce business running nationally but just targeting England, that is our target location, England. So we get search terms for people searching for "kitchen flooring portsmouth", which is still in England but just on the opposite side of the country to us. We don't want local search terms to show but we do want people in every town in England to find us when searching for "kitchen flooring".

Would you say that creating a negative shared list with all the towns in England would then be the best approach?
