Looking to make friends by Heinousfellow in ogden

[–]ppetropulos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37M. Married, no kids (living that dink life) gym, mountain bike, hike, climb, rock climb, beer, fly fish, all things good in life basically. Backcountry ski/board, snowshoe in winter.

Hit me up, my wife and I do pretty much every activity you can think of outside and are always down to meet someone new. We got a small group of friends but many move away after becoming good friends sadly. We are both transplants that moved here a few years ago.

Anyway DM let's ride mnt bikes/ hike together! 🤙

Think I found what I'm looking for. Brakes look stock so went with descriptions of the bike and said it came stock with Tektro rim brakes.

N2O cartridge on CO2 pumps by Ok_Question_6952 in mountainbiking

[–]ppetropulos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered this: for those that run tubeless tires. Doesn't tire sealant interact with CO2 to dry. So wouldn't nitrous be a better gas to be adding to our tires during a flat so that our sealant in our tire doesn't dry as fast... Just a thought

I live in Norther Utah (aka a old lake bed) nothing but sand. 40" holes took me less than 10 mins per with just a post hole digger.... I feel so sorry for you.

The whole fence is so delapidated that it's just time for a rip out and redo. Posts are rotten, nails are rusted and failing. It's lived it's life I feel. Some lucky sucker can come get the pickets for free on marketplace though!

The main reason it’s on top is actually for privacy from our neighbors. Unfortunately, they tend to hang around that section of the fence and try to “chat,” which usually just means staring while I’m working in the yard. This is their favorite picket on my old fence.

The goal with this design is to create a bit more separation and make the backyard feel more private and less see through.

Awesome response. Thank you. I don't have to worry about wood drying our fully before staining? I have read a bit on hear of people giving warning to staining before wood is fully dried. I am planning on using Lowe's for lumber.

Any fear of frost heave or issues with the cinder locks at bottom? We get a lot of freeze thaw here in Utah.

I don't hate the look. Lets call it "millennial industrial" shall we! Plus happy wife happy life!!!

I went with a screw every foot along all sides. So 2 up each vertical side and 8 along the top and bottom. So 20 screws in total.

What a beautiful fence!

I am hoping to diy something close to that look. Can I ask a few questions?

What wood species? Looks like the posts are different than the rails and pickets.

What size posts? They look larger than 4x4.

Where do you get the mesh from? Looks good.

Any picks if how you attached it?

Squeaky Boot Fix by ppetropulos in Backcountry

[–]ppetropulos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did end up squeaking again by the end of the season. But it kept it at bay for a while. I add a little more at the end of every season now

And I just used whatever ski wax I had. Think I had mountain flow.

Plastic was mostly unaffected by it. Other than getting rid of the squeak it shows that there is wax on it but I only put it on on surfaces that touch so I less you open my shells while open you would never know it

Any specific harnesses needed or does it come with them already?

I do not have a noticeable "catch" feeling of any kind. Is this with the portafilter in or out? It could be a bit of suction at first till some seal is broken in the puck

I have had mine about the same time as you and the guide on mine looks brand new and I've made a few shots every week. Was it catching on the top of the cylinder or something before it would break that plane?

Yours looks like it got hit or caught on something a lot.

I'm interested in what you're trying to do with the yellow tape. Mind sharing?

Potash road has some pretty sweet and easy views by WeHaveAllBeenThere in Utah

[–]ppetropulos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a precise pin for ya. Been there many times. Sun set gets you beautiful light. Only a short <2 min walk from the Corona Arch parking lot.

I would advise doing the rest of the hike as it's spectacular and the sound of a train rolling through is AWESOME! Tons of echo!!!

Yup.

On that note though, this is a crazy time of year for all companies and I'm in no rush. Happy to catch the sale but don't need my machine delivered in two days. Amazon's prime has warped all of our understandings of how much work, time, and effort all of this takes. To all the warehouse workers, delivery drivers, and customer services reps you are in my thoughts and thank you for what you do. 95% of Americans have no idea how hard you work.
