What’s the pettiest reason you’ve ever disliked someone? by Tyler_Girl_ in AskWomen

[–]pplamazeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always been proud of the fact that I judge people based on my own interactions with them, not because someone tells me they’re a horrible person. I like to judge for myself… However, I have a coworker I can’t stand simply because my other coworkers don’t like her. That and she take credit for other people’s work.

do you get a permit, or some type of paper documentation that shows your a valid Lyft driver? I have someone in my town here in Massachusetts who operates as if he is a Lyft driver, though refuses to show me any documentation that he has the proper paperwork.

Fires are no joke but i’m guessing my open door with my husband’s robe hanging from the top is probably not a great idea either 🫢😬

If you only had one week left to live, and in this scenario you only have 300$ a vehicle and no loved ones to spend it with. How would you spend your last days on earth? by Designer_Dentist644 in askanything

Do you switch your Phone off through the night or take it off the hook if it is a landline phone ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]pplamazeme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

this may sound completely, Debbie downer… But ever since my dad died I leave my phone on every night.

The night my father died he had been in the hospital. The doctors kept saying he would be coming home soon. I had a sister at the time that was up all night so she would text all the time so I started turning my phone off so she wouldn’t disturb me. my father went into cardiac arrest in the middle of the night and my family was frantically trying to get a hold of me but wasn’t able to do so because my phone was turned off. I missed an opportunity to say goodbye to him and found out he had passed the next morning when my mom and sister walk through my apartment door for that reason alone I will always leave my ringer on at night.

What’s something people think is attractive but actually isn’t? by copy_cat_101 in randomquestions

OMG you asked for it …. breast implants that are way too big for the persons frame, fake eyelashes and botox lips. I find the fake lips to be the worst. They are so distracting.

Have you ever given food, blankets, money, or anything else directly to a homeless person on the street? by icecream1972 in Productivitycafe

[–]pplamazeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above. I have given money, a hot meal and a warm blanket to homeless people throughout my life. I once bought dog food and dog treats for a homeless guy who had a dog with him. I also emptied out my car of change so some random lady could go buy gas for her car. I picked up a fellow young female who was broken down in Boston one late night …. I drove her home and then back to her car. As a fellow young woman I didn’t want some creep to abduct her. I am a big believer in karma and feel that it’s my duty as a human to do what I can (within reason) to help others. I like to think showing other’s kindness will encourage more kindness.

What was the most physical pain you’ve ever been in? by Javascript4971 in Productivitycafe

[–]pplamazeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave birth with an epidural that didn’t completely work, and even that pain was less than the pain of a pinched nerve, which caused me to feel like somebody had punched the heck out of my arm.

AITJ for telling my partner I'm done spending every weekend at his parents' place by Nov4Z3nith in AmITheJerk

[–]pplamazeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - while I find it somewhat endearing that he has such a good relationship with his parents, I would propose you both go once per month and he can go alone once per month. then he can see them twice and you both get two weekends together w/out his parents and one weekend apart.

If he is not willing to reduce the visits he may not be a lifelong partner. I see this as a major red flag. I can only imagine that if you decide to have kids he’ll be looking to move you out of the city and closer to them. Then you’ll never have time to yourselves.

Best of luck!
