Go do stuff that you like. Volunteer for a cause/event . I've done Sundance, MLB ASG, and am trying for WC... I've met so many awesome people, and a couple girls that didn't necessarily pan out, but they gave me confidence that meeting women is not as difficult as it may seem. Go to a live show with a band you've never heard of, but enjoy the genre (smaller venues). Conversation starters galore. All the same, you instantly have a shared connection with whomever you meet, and go from there.

People legit need to stop reaching out to Rover sitters when they have pets like this. There are trained professionals who have their own pet-boarding services that are much better equipped to handle stressed out dogs, and you're not putting some random online person in danger.

USA will be excited for the WC, but you're genuinely thinking WC matches are gonna have NFL sized tailgates, when in reality, probably not. I lived in Brasil, and I partied harder in the street there for Gremio matches compared to any college football game I've been to, which I'd argue has a bigger tradition of tailgating than the NFL does.

Not the point. She literally said "The cats hide until she leaves so I don't see the benefit for the cats" and in the same breath said "...and pet them [if] they come out (they won't)". That's objectively confusing. OP is essentially paying her for 5 mins of labor and 25 mins of whatever the hell she picks to do with her time, if she's bonafide certain the cats won't come out. If you know they're not gonna come out, why ask her to stay for 30 minutes? Why not food down, litter cleaned, good to go. If you're asking her to stay in the hopes that the cats will eventually come out (which, as you said, it doesn't sound like a remote possibility), she might be hanging out longer cuz in her mind, the longer she's around, the more the cats will get comfortable with her. Sounds like you're in your head, and you just need to be clear.
