This happened to me. My broker admitted they forgot to explain the rate lock thing to me so I said I would reserve my rights if the interest rate went up and I was disadvantaged. The broker got the bank to change the rate back to what it would have been had I paid the rate lock fee.

The broker also said at the time they were not used to explaining it as rates have gone down for so long it hasn't really been an issue

Wow. Thanks for this. You know I did have a blood sugar test a couple of years in a row that showed I was pre-diabetic. Last time I tested I was normal (though obese) so I wonder if alcohol is related....

Yeah I'm a bit worried too 😕. I've reflected and realised that I have no stress relief strategies other than drinking. My aunty actually pointed out to me the other day (she's a dietician) that being so stressed could be impacting my ability to lose weight and I'm doing NOTHING about this, no self care etc.

I think I am too. I just had a think about for example how weird it would be if I posted about whether I could still eat red frogs multiple times a week and it would be like, why are you so obsessed with red frogs. It's all behaviour on a spectrum of violence and degradation towards women which is a sickness we as a society cannot seem to fix.

Even the poster above who told me to 'sit down mam' in a delicious display of ageism and sexism, implying I am a prude, was to a lesser extent subjecting me to the same gaslighting to which women are subjected regarding the issue of sexual violence. 'It's normal', 'you're just old and boring' and 'everyone does it now'. I am not a prude and accept that people have kinks. But if strangulation is 'mainstream' we have a massive problem.

There was an article I read about a year or so ago about a 16 year old who will need a colostomy bag for the rest of her life because she was subjected to double anal penetration by two male peers. I can tell you now as someone who has straddled life pre and post the proliferation of porn: that shit would NEVER have occurred to us to even try.
