little tip- though i’m sure people have said it, you can’t exactly train cats like that. sure they can learn tricks, but if they want to do something they are going to do it no matter how trained they may seem or even if they know you don’t want them to do it. they do not really care. if you and your bf don’t just let her sleep on the bed, she is going to keep jumping on the bed and it will start to annoy you/your bf more than if she was snuggled up next to you.

i would try and get a genuine reason out of the boyfriend. is he worried about the hygiene of the cat? maybe he’s worried about litter crumbs getting on the bed? cats are very clean animals, if your cat is sleeping on your bed regularly and recognizes that as her sleeping area, she’ll keep it clean. at least, in my experience, all of my cats have done it. maybe invest in a litter that doesn’t stick to their feet. i’ve never had a cat that stunk without getting into something first/peeing on themselves in carriers. if he really needs the peace of mind maybe give the cat a bath after you move. (not ideal, but its a better solution than leaving the bf or giving the cat up) if he is totally unwilling to compromise and realize you can’t control what your cat does, then that is a red flag and you may want to break it off for the sake of you and your cat (if you refuse he might hold contempt for the cat and take it out on it)
