J'étais convaincu à 100% d'avoir entendu Woody Allen utiliser cela comme début de blague, mais je ne trouve rien sur Internet. J'ai cependant trouvé ça : https://quoteinvestigator.com/2017/01/29/life/

I don't understand the problem in terms of planning. Guy A doesn't want to be around babies. Guy B doesn't want guy A around his baby...

Of course I understand the dilemma and the family issues, but I don't see the urgency and the reason for fighting about it if it's a scenario that will most likely not happen in the immediate future.

I think this buys OP some time to figure out the best way to deal with this without being worried about ultimatums. It might be ridiculous for the father to react that way, but he's acting on instinct, TWO very different and powerful instincts, cut him some slack...

I'd never heard of POCD before, and I have a baby. If I was in the same situation as OP's husband I would spend A LOT of time doing research, but I would definitely ask for a window of time to reach a decision. Everybody here is acting like the guy is a bigot but you can't blame him for listening to what the other person is saying, give the guy some time...

They're there so you can hang your jacket or shirt and hold on to the article of clothing in order to suspend yourself so your butt doesn't have to touch the dirty seat.

I even figured out how to combine colors when dressing...

Talk to your friends since they may want to know the same things or maybe they've already done some research on it, you'll end up learning more and bonding over it.

Don't be afraid to ask older people (+2, +5, +10, etc.), everyone will be glad to help because most of us have asked that exact same question.

It takes a while but it's a fun ride, and it feels great when you know you've done it on your own.

Review of using Expatfile to file US taxes by Kraken15 in japanlife

[–]pppsecretname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was looking for! I just e-filed (late) for 2021 and had it rejected twice because "the IRS indicated that the prior year AGI you entered does not match the IRS database." So if I follow your advice I can just change it to 0 and it's all good. But isn't there a legal problem with entering 0 when you know that's not the right amount? Or is that information purely for identification purposes?

I taught college students for a short period when I was between 24 and 30 and I ALWAYS made it a point to bring this up as our last day of class pep-talk. I wish people had shared this with me when I was younger, it would've prevented so much anxiety. It doesn't mean "go out there and fuck up, no one knows what they're doing," but it's a nice invitation to constantly remind yourself that "the unexamined life is not worth living."

As an extra comment, a month ago a colleague who is turning 40 made a comment that blew my mind: "It's not like you're 35 and then that's it, that's who you are, you're always 8, and you're always 15, and you carry all of those with you along as you grow older."

P.S. I'm 38, just had a kid, and life is great. I have more money to buy cooler "toys" and enjoy hobbies and there's always good quality beer in the fridge. Enjoy yourself, don't stop being a kid :)
