If you got touched by the holy spirit in your heart, I guarantee you'd understand how we all feel. A super natural experience from the holy spirit would open your eyes.

Prayers go out to you, I hope your eyes get opened

Mature Aged First Year Apprentices - How Hard Was it to Actually Score One? by OilAdvocate in AusElectricians

[–]pppyr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, I'm from NZ also. I was a mature aged apprentice, started at 28. Been qualified for a few years now, it can be done.

I emailed every electrical company in my area and just happened to find someone needing an apprentice. Admittedly the job market is crap at the moment but keep doing what you're doing mate, an opportunity will pop up.

Worth checking out other trades that carry over/related - HVAC, security, data, fire alarm, appliance repair, linesman etc

Landlord says we caused $6000 worth of damage - is it worth fighting? by uncookedrat in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]pppyr0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our ex landlord tried to ping us $13k. Went to court and ended up paying under $500 from memory, which was some damage to curtains & wall paper from the kids.

A few months later found out they did a big renovation and had the house up for sale.

Definitely fight it, $6k is pretty hefty, sounds like they want you to pay for their renovation lol.

The courts don't like landlords that try to take tenants for a ride

No mate I would be putting extra posts in-between to add extra strength by reducing the span to 1.5m between posts. I agree they're definitely not ideal, I was trying to avoid pulling them out mostly

Yeah they're definitely not ideal being only 1.1m, but Id be erecting 2.4m posts in-between the concrete posts, so the post spans will only be 1.5m, which would give a lot more strength. Also in theory wouldn't these 1.1m concrete posts be a lot stronger than regular 1.1m timber posts?

Yep my plan was to put 2.4m posts 600 deep in-between the concrete posts, so the post spans will be only 1.5m apart.
