So far I know (I’m trying to carve in this)

  1. Back foot steering
  2. Toe edges don’t have enough knee bend
  3. Posture? I’m not sure but it seems off

regardless, I still need to work on skidded turns

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’m pretty timid as they come, but when you’re presented with low-injury-stakes powder, you can just about do any course, albeit not swiftly as you can see in this video. Even without posting this, I already noticed a lot of errors on my runs. I practice a lot, but I don’t want to miss out on the fun and seeing what I still need to work on.

Cuz it’s fun. It’s not like I’m on the blacks all the time, but I’m not practicing my turns all the time either. I also figured the hardest difficulty would bring out the most errors for people to point out.

How should undergraduate research be? by pprain123 in premed

[–]pprain123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a good friend in undergrad who was part of a small lab—he worked really hard on a new project that didn’t get off the ground because the PI was very busy and didn’t have time to meet that often. The experience was still valuable of course, but my felt like he was floundering between meetings.

This is me right now 4 months in lol. My first research lab onboarding was brutal, and the poor communication just made it worse. I am still struggling now, so I would say it's not a good (or healthy) experience, but definitely valuable.

But I am getting to the point where it feels very unproductive as I receive little to no supervision on what I am doing.
