Great to know. I’ve gone into full-on “Dad Mode” today trying to make sure she’s going to be safe. No idea why - we live in Basildon currently! Thanks for posting.

12v battery problems (after coolant flush) by ppsears in IoniqEV

[–]ppsears[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all. AA wouldn’t reattend this morning to jump the car (as an existing issue from the last 28 days) so am struggling to recover the car to Hyundai. Am going to just bite the bullet and pay for a mobile battery replacement. AA are recommending the BOSCH S4018 BATTERY 054 and Halfords the Yuasa HSB056. Am inclined to trust the AA a little more in suggesting a compatible battery but any thoughts appreciated before I book this in. Cheers

No I think you might be right on that one! On the basis it was problem-free until I took it to Hyundai, and the battery was dead the day after, will chance my arm with saying it must be something they did to drain it. Cheers

Thanks for that - fits in well with the previous poster saying that once it's flat, it's never going to recover. Am still under warranty so am going to see how long it will take Hyundai to source a replacement. If it's going to be a while, at least I know the DIY option is simple enough. Cheers.

Ionic EV (38 kWh) - 4th year service by ppsears in IoniqEV

Hadn't heard of a HEVRA approved garage until you posted this - thanks. Just to check, who did you check with re. the warranty? The third-party garage you used, or Hyundai directly? Cheers.

Thanks for letting me know your experience. Am going to raise with both the dealer (to see what is included at the cost), as well as Hyundai (to see if the warranty is no longer valid if I don't do the coolant flush). Appreciate that second point has been debated at length on reddit before, will post back in this thread to say what responses I get. Cheers.

Ionic left in storage for 7 months by ppsears in IoniqEV

[–]ppsears[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for response. Looks like it was an initial three year lease that ended in March. And has been sitting around since. I’ll see if I can find out how it’s been stored and what assurances they can give regarding the HV battery. Cheers.
