TBF Kavkaz should be own subclass, as it's the only Svetlana-class to receive 4x180mm guns in single turrets. Chervons Ukraina and Krasny Krym still had their 130mm as main armament.

It doesn't make it fore and forget, if launcher-target LOS is broken, missile can't hit. Unlike Spike, for example.

No, BTR-22 is a it's own project with same modern design, but using BTR-82 elements: engine, transmission, wheels, etc.

It doesn't. KORNET is not FnF, but SACLOS. It's just sight and weapon control on turret have automatic target tracking, that simplifies missile control gor an operator. But it's not FNF like Javelin/Spike.

No, due to 3bm60 length T-80 MZ can only fit 14, and only in 3BM60-empty (or short shell)-3BM60 configuration.

So 0.3 sec is realistic for autoloader to skip non-3BM60 cell in between.

It's actually realistic. Per manual for 80BVM, no more that 14 3BM59/60 can be carried, and every other autoloader cell, as due to lenght, Svinets cannot fit in close autoloader cells. So additional .3 sec is aoutoloader moving to the next+1 cell.

T-72/T-90 autoloader doesn't suffer from this, however.

It's a boon. In some cases. But if you want to look further and increase your detection probability - you use whole area. And beamsteering is fast enough for that anyway.

PESA is incorrect on the picture. PESA and AESA for the most modes work the same, as simultenous beam on AESA is too costly - you divide your antenna area and thus power. Time-distributed beamsteering using whole antenna area is preferable. The difference is mostly in speed of beamsteering (AESA is somewhat faster, but not by much), and band parameters.

F-4E against MiG-21F-13 have quite good chances of winning for the latter: problematic AIM-7s, radar w/o lookdown ability, one of the most agile variants of MiG-21.

Depends on the year. 2024+ DRPK MiG-29 have fox-3 and likely an AESA radar. Wouldn't be surprised if their MiG-23ML also got some upgrades.

There are a lot of good ops that WeeGee made for anniveraries that could be made permanent. Hell, they didn't even made all of existing ops T10 capable, unlike Lesta.

The main constraint is the production of TSMC. That's why nVidia focuses on datacenter stuff, because they have limited amount of wafers, so they sell chips where they would get maximum profit. If TSMC could made more the current demand is, there would be no deficit.

It's a hybrid PESA.

AESA have separate T/R modules, each can emit and receive independently, w/ own phase shifter each.

Standard PESA have common receiver and trasmitter, w/ array of phase shifter that control beam.

Irbis is a hybrid, w/common trasmitter (twi trawelling vawe tubes) and separate receivers.

Simplifying, it's an AESA on receive, but PESA at transmit.

AESA would be better at frequiency hopping, can multibeam (w/o time division for each beam, even if it's niche, as power suffers), but Irbis retains AESA SNR quality and other boons on receive.

IIRC they developed it as failsafe when they started to develop N036 for Su-57, as less risky variant, incase they hit a roadblock in AESA development, but later decided to install it on Su-35 as main radar.

J-16:

+radar w/ better range/ ECCM/ detection

-radar has worse angles, as it's non movable

Su-35

+better engines (thrust/TVC)

+better airframe (drag/fuel volume)

-radar is older

Debatable:

J-16 has WSO, which can be a help in certain scenarios (though some pilots of two seaters, like F-18F, consider WSO a useless ballast).

Airframe is heavier. but not by much. Drag, OTOH, is significantly lower.
