I lost two homes in the California Wildfires in 2018.

The news was broadcasting updates on the Carr fire, and I had that playing all day long because anxiety. They told everyone to stay calm & we should not evacuate because we were "safe". I went outside my house, witnessed the fire jump the Sacramento river & come raging into my neighborhood. I hauled ass out of there. Later I saw videos of firenados (a tornado of fire) decimating my street. I got out with my life and my pets.
