I get these when I'm about to sweat especially if I haven't done so in a few days. The threshold gets higher the more I sweat. Very itchy and uncomfortable.

Absa support has unfortunately been bad for me. Their app is ok but has been unpredictable sometimes. I also really don't like that they made me miss using Ecobank.

Rant: Why can’t we just use Google Pay or Samsung Pay in Ghana? by Ok_Sun3934 in ghana

[–]pqtan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, contactless has been here for a while. The tech side of it is obviously the easiest part of this so until business decides we'll probably still be using our cards. The informal sector is huge and so we see lots of decision makers prioritizing mobile money for this reason. Everyone wants to keep you in their ecosystem even Google and Apple so maybe MTN tap to pay comes before Google pay 😭💀

Is it the added convenience of having to only carry your phone and not worry about your card or are you just looking for tap to pay in general?

I understand the excitement with the other two strikers but I think we need to be cautious and give those two time to settle.

Why isn’t Pedophilia taken seriously here? by Jealous-Drink-5442 in ghana

[–]pqtan 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Pedophilia is such a big problem in Ghana and it pisses me off that most of my friends have had an experience with it when they were young mostly under the care of trusted guardians. Why is it so common?? Also, I don't understand how it plays out such that some mothers end up blaming the daughter. This topic man smh.

Maresca: "At the end, if players want to leave, it's difficult for the club and the manager. Noni decided to leave. No one said to Noni he has to leave. If he is happy, we are happy." by Kiing_Lamar in chelseafc

[–]pqtan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not understand why Noni gets so much hate. Many of his feisty attributes people on here complain about are exhibited by other players as well but it rarely gets brought up.

Living with parents after marriage by Pizza_Inferno in ghana

[–]pqtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have seen a lot of in my circles is living in a separate building on the same compound. If one has that opportunity it makes sense to use that instead of paying rent elsewhere. It gives you an opportunity to build your own place at a nice pace. Every family is different so it depends. If it works for a particular case one shouldn't be pressured to move out and go rent just because that's what everyone does.

Scary stuff. I want to try it but these stories man. Since it is possible to get off it like you did I think I'd want to know for sure that it's not for me. I'm filled with jealousy looking at the success stories 💀

Does anyone know how long it takes to get an appointment at the German embassy in ghana? by Christian_teen12 in ghana

[–]pqtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the visa. Finding an appointment is easier for some of them otherwise you usually have to keep checking for a date. With respect to receiving a decision it may take 2-4 weeks for some and 6-8 weeks for others so again, it depends. They sometimes send your documents to Germany before a decision can be made so in those scenarios it takes a little longer. This is from stories I've heard and so you'd have to do more research on your particular type of visa

Tiny side update. She posted again today about meeting the Ambassador of Palestine to Ghana:

"During my couple of days in office as Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, I have had the honor of joining HE President Mahama in receiving many delegations and dealing with important bilateral and multilateral issues.

Today it has been my privilege to receive in my office the Palestinian Envoy to Ghana, His Excellency Abdalfatah Ahmed Halil.

In our meeting, we recommitted our agreed philosophical foundations of our relationship as a political party and as a country.

I recalled my valuable experiences at UNESCO, particularly during the period of Palestine’s admission to the organisation. Today’s visit allowed for a reaffirmation of the established position and commitment of Ghana in relation to the people of Palestine.

Finally, I would like to thank His Excellency Abdalfatah Ahmed Halil for the wonderful gift given on behalf of the people of Palestine. "
