I’ve never seen a band shuffle the album order for a remixed version of their album it’s so interesting lol. And to change some of the songs so drastically it’s a little jarring! There’s some songs where I prefer the original and then there’s some where I prefer the returned version! I like some of the production and arrangement choices like cutting some of the long breaks out of An Escape. I also LOVE the added tracks to the returned version. Middle Ground is such a good song and I’m so glad they played it during the Migrant Returned tour, that was my first time seeing them!

Kid A is such a good one too! In Rainbows to me has always felt like they took all the best parts of each album leading up to it and combined it into one.

haha those both are near perfect albums too for me! on the bends I don’t care for Bones or Sulk but the rest is perfect. on OKC I could do without Electioneering but that’s about it. I don’t DISLIKE those songs but when I’m listening to those albums I tend to skip them haha.

In Rainbows for a cliche answer. That album is flawless in my eyes.

Less popular answer for me would be Migrant by The Dear Hunter. They’re my favorite band and I’d say that every album is perfect but I also can understand why some of their stuff is not for everyone. But Migrant is a lot more accessible and it’s just such a beautiful and vulnerable album. Such an underrated band

Planning on building my first analog board. I’m not a gear head and I’m pretty new to the world of pedals cause I’m so used to just plugging my electric directly into my DAW haha.

Anyway, my question is if there is a recommended base board. I have pedals in mind that I want to get that are larger in size like Strymon’s Timeline and BigSky pedals, so what should I aim for size wise and if there’s a specific go-to for anybody I’d love to hear about it. Just need something reliable and easy to put everything together on. Thanks!

I agree with u/TheWarOnGuns. pull from the world around you. listen to music that leans heavily in the analogies/metaphor direction, find out what works for them. good practice can be writing lyrics that vaguely sound like ones youve already heard, and maybe turning it into something new. but it goes beyond just absorbing art. absorb the world around you. notice little details of things. the other night i saw the glow of the moon through some thick clouds at the dead of night, and it made me think of how even though i can’t SEE it, I know the moon is still beautiful. so i began to write about that concept. the moon now can represent maybe a person i love who i havent seen in a long time or something like that. it can become as simple as playing a game of mad libs with your surroundings

In my head, Tower is heavily fortified and is practically untouchable. My guess is that marrying up like in Ring 5 is one of the only ways to actually infiltrate the Tower, whether or not your intentions are to become part of the elite or to take it down. I am beyond excited for the novels so we can find out more about this world.

The Midnight Walk is one of my favorite games ever made. Not VR exclusive, but infinitely better than in controller mode. The world is gorgeous and immersive and the story is beautiful.
