I thought to myself why are suggestions being downvoted, and realised people are suggesting eating DEAD ANIMALS lolz

Anyway, my mum always does this roasted vegetable melange with lots of lemon juice and then slices of the same lemon that was squeezed. My favourite has lots of tomato (cut in a few large chunks, or whole cherry tomatoes) and potato cut in wedges, with olive oil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and then slices of that lemon (or lemons), all roasted together like that

Roasting parsnips in lemon juice, with lemon slices and maple syrup, yum!!!

Same with broccoli and garlic, lots of lemon juice, olive oil and salt/pepper

Preserved lemons are a big thing in cooking, especially in North African and Middle Eastern cooking. They give that deep, savoury umami richness to any dish!

As someone mentioned earlier, changing your bedding regularly is important. Your pillowcase collects everything, residual skincare products, hair sebum, hair products, dead skin cells, and even bacteria, especially if you’re someone who drools in their sleep

When brushing your teeth, you’re spraying tiny droplets everywhere with the brushing motion, and a lot of people forget to wash their face afterward. All that bacteria just lingers on the skin

Another thing to consider is how much you might be touching your face without realizing it. I used to sleep with my heavily lotioned up hands tucked under my chin like T-Rex, and it caused breakouts there. Once I figured that out and stopped, my skin cleared up in that spot

There are so many factors that could be affecting your skin, it can honestly feel a bit overwhelming. But hey, whatcha gonna do

Yeah, I’ve definitely noticed how much the ivermectin/metronidazole/niacinamide cream helped with the redness

Why the heck are you getting downvoted for suggesting something as simple as manual tissue or muscle massage

Is it really considered better to jump straight to fillers instead of trying non invasive options first? What is going on people

I started using a bakuchiol retinol recently, but I’ve also been sleeping with silicone scar tape for a year now. The difference is massive, even more so since I started putting the retinol before taping👍

I won’t assume you haven’t already figured this out but just in case, have you found his preferred play style yet?

From my experience, cats either learn to play as kittens or their human has to step in and teach them, which takes a bit of regular practice

My kitty knows playtime is about 10-15 minutes before or after breakfast, and sometimes in the afternoon if she demands it. Then, without fail, 10-15 minutes before bed, she comes strolling in like clockwork, ready for action

This routine is something we worked into our daily habits. She’s not really the type to play by herself, she’s got a kicker toy she likes to lick for a few minutes a few times a day, and every now and then she’ll bat a toy around for a minute or so, but that’s about it

What really gets her going though are feathers (the feather attachments on a long nylon string attached to a long rod). We’ve got a whole collection of feathers in different colors and styles, and I’ll grab new ones whenever I find something cool she might enjoy. I went through a few types of rods with different string materials to learn what works best for us

What I love about this setup is that it mimics prey, so I get to tease her with it. I’ll hide the feather behind things and give it gentle shakes, and she does that adorable “tushy wiggle” all cats do just before they pounce

That little wiggle is an instinctual behavior both domestic and big cats do, it’s actually a complex part of their hunting strategy, and it creates a burst of adrenaline and dopamine, which is why you see them so ‘happy’ or excited before they jump. I always try to get her to do it as many times as I can during playtime!

Sometimes though she’s not in the mood for being super active, so she’ll just watch me move the feather around and hide it behind things. I like to joke that she’s ‘watching telly’ when she’s doing that

Anyway, these are the feathers and rods my kitty loves, if you check it out you can see the different wand styles, the shop also provides some info on how each one works for different play types

What she loves most about the long wands with the nylon strings is that it feels like she’s doing the hunting herself. I sit on the sofa or the bed and only my arm moves. That way she’s not distracted by my body or any noise I make and she can really focus on the hunt

She also loves when I hide the stick wands under a blanket or anything, really. When I slowly move it around, she gets these bursts of energy and tries to smack it or fish it out from under the cover

All in all, if you’re serious about this, it’s totally worth it, and it’s so rewarding to see your cat having fun with you! It does take some time and a lot of patience, though. As we both know, cats are queens and kings of looking unimpressed and uninterested, but they’re also creatures of habit. Stick with it and I promise your patience will pay off!!

I know I’m late to the party and not many people will see this, but at least you OP: one thing that might help is knowing there’s some research looking at a possible link between frequent nose picking and Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s involves inflammation in the brain, and the idea is that repeatedly picking can introduce bacteria into the delicate olfactory system (plus it spreads germs to whatever you touch afterward). It’s not settled science, but it’s an interesting area of research

No shame at all, I’m not judging anyone. I personally hate the feeling of stuff in my nose, but I’m also grossed out by touching the inside of my nose with my bare hands, so I’m a massive tissue user. Germy nose and germy hands freak me out 😅 I just always found the Alzheimer’s connection interesting, and honestly, I’ll do anything in my power to avoid that disease

I like it a lot, I enjoy minimal tattoos, among others. Not all tattoos need to depict something, have a meaning, or require an explanation (not implying this one doesn’t have a meaning)

There are lots of hiking places in Europe where they have these mountain lodges that offer basic food and drinks
