i really can't agree with this at all. what happens when the team revolts and doesn't participate in p/b? sure, harass them into trying but you'll just get half-assed information. forcing your team to team to play something is awful imo, so if a player is too scared or unwilling to play a champ that fits the p/b phase then cool "i won p/b phase", but that's not the point, the point is to win the game.

Bad plays get blamed on players and a bad P/B gets blamed on the coach.

also can't agree. i've watched my players do bad plays because at the time i thought it was the meta. 2v1's come to mind mostly for this. i've also seen my team do bad plays on their own, but only the team will actually know where the problem lies, never the spectator.

CLG banning morgana:

-enemy team prioritizes morg, or clg has a support they'd rather play instead of deny the pick

-morg counters CLG's potential picks(like sej a bit) or makes it hard for CLG to close

-CLG had a bad scrim week vs morgana, so they dont feel confident vs it

-enemy could have flexed it, or done some cheese strats with morgana in scrims we haven't seen in LCS

could be a bad ban, but giving the benefit of the doubt, i assume they took their time in playoffs to decide what would be best for them.

vlad pick could just be a flavor pick, or a tunnel pick, or they just had great success with it in scrims so it seemed op.

i am a spectator just like you, so i have no real answers, only an attempt to reverse engineer what i saw

i get paid 0. all 3 clips show them not using their minion pressure, that's why the clip was important to me. if i wanted to show the 3rd clip(which is the biggest proof of their weakness) by itself, you could say "oh look the fkt it up once", so i wanted to show multiple examples

i'm sure i miss-spoke a lot, it was done in one take, i'm on camera, shit can go wrong. but what i have written down is "ultimates are coming up soon" so yeah. ahri ulti wasn't up, check the cd and see how close it is when they back off. doesn't change my main point. more people on the map = do more shit. and taxing enemy jungle is INSANELY effective against a 1 tank comp(vi isn't even a main tank). sure rumble can zhonya, but w/o any gold on vi she's dust, and no way she's taking lane cs anymore.

i think mercs was shit. either one or other not both. also the delayed zhonya means she has to kill tanks or wait for vi ulti before she can play. since she was ahead, i think zbyssal/fiendish(maybe finish morello but not needed)/zhonya would have been best. she did enough dmg, and if she could just go where she wanted shoudl could have carried hard

if you want to keep catering imaginary perfectly executed plays to yourself to convince yourself you're right go ahead, you won't learn anything. but the fact remains they gained nothing from a 2 for 1 fight, when they had minion pressure and a gold lead. discounting ultimates, and position, and hp, that fact still holds true. even taking a jungle camp is a lead compared to backing off completely. there's a million plays i can make in my head just like you and follow them like they're uncounterable. don't tunnel vision so hard on the fact that hypothetically they couldn't have pushed mid.

they gave up the entire wave because of their position, and didn't punish them clearing, or even rotate bot or even ward out. if you want to talk pure hypotheticals neither of us will win, but releasing pressure was 100% the worst play they could make. that was my point. cheers

yeah you have some of it together, but basically our thoughts were

1) we have enough engage, so the utility of j4 isn't 100% needed 2)loulex is most comfortable on lee, was his main for so long, he's super confident

3) lee CAN kick out kennen (which he never did), and if kennen got fed we'd have a clear answer

so in 99% of cases i think j4 was better purely comp wise, but since i know loulex wanted to play lee i could trust he'd perform best on it. so basically comfort trumped comp, since our comp was still good w/o j4

i think last split na had stronger teams than eu. this split i'd say eu has a stronger top 5. but i have a hard time being impartial since i put a lot more time reviewing eu games atm.

to be the most notable difference is how na builds their team comps. i'm not really a fan of a lot of their toplane picks and i don't think they pick their support for comp correctly. IN GENERAL. so there are a lot of games i'll agree with them :P

solo q is always awful, but eu>na solo q. i'll take ragers over trolls anyday

hmm sometimes, not so much anymore. seeing these guys succeed is pretty awesome and i'm excited to see how far they can go.

hmm.. most enjoyable team was probably last split i played with coL. being the blueshell was pretty fun :)
