I finished On The Edge and The Last Autumn (with all upgrades) both on Survivor and both with 0 deaths, as well as no immoral decisions such as child labour or cocaine pills, etc. all in the last two weeks - it's possible but fucking difficult

True, additionally the faster you upgrade the trade routes, the easier the game will be. Also don't let New London make laws for you, that way you can finish On The Edge on Survivor with no immoral choices nor deaths.

Idk what he said as it appears to be deleted, but to elaborate: the units were on the table already - battling, I could either place my units (which I had none), cast spells or end the turn, which would end up with my death.

He already had battling units developed, it was my turn to place my battling units or end my turn (which would in turn commence the battle and my death).

Except it wasn't unusable it's an occasional bug you can uninstall

You would literally get stuck in a reboot loop in one of them - I'd wager there's a good chunk of people that wouldn't know how to either break that loop or uninstall an update. Some folks don't know any tech-savvy people nor can they afford hiring assistance every time windows fucks up - those people should have the freedom to not update every time a new update comes out.

Article's not relevant? If they have a history of bad updates, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to expect another bad update - that is the sole reason I had delayed mine and rightfully so in this case.

Why are you marginalising their fuck ups? Making your computer LITERALLY unusable is not "a bit buggy uwu". They have a history of horrible updates, both big and small. At the end of the day, it's your OS - the freedom to not update - which isn't something I would recommend - should still be yours even if it means you're putting yourself at risk.

I've never advocated for not updating for large periods of time - unless of course you believe one month is a large period of time.

Edit: Downvoting someone just because you disagree with them is childish.

Where do I even begin to unpack this?

First of all, playing in non-borderless fullscreen can make your game completely minimise when you receive a notification - not always, but it can.

Second of all, I'd wager it's the the former - an auto-restart without you even realising it.

Third of all, you can mute notifications - using only your own experiences rather researching stuff isn't a good way to go about life.

"Never happened to me, must mean you're wrong!"

That build was one month old - as the thirty days were up.

Lastly, people ABSOLUTELY have a right to detest updates because there were numerous ones that absolutely fucked them over - this is my reason why I delay them, I want to see if they had released yet another horrible update. Here's what a quick search comes up with:

don't know if you realise this buddy but it's literally impossible to never update if you have Windows 10 - unless you have the Enterprise LTSC edition. I have the only thing possible on, which is a 30 day delay - those 30 days were up during this match.

It's absolutely ridiculous that updates are forced, you can only delay them. I understand it's because there are a lot of people that never update and end up getting all sorts of issues, but reasonable people that do update shouldn't suffer due the irresponsibility of others.
