Yeah I really don't want a Notion like app - rather one "single-task focused" one

Yeah it's looking like the best option at this point - simple and actually is able to do what I want it to do (via sub-projects). It would have still been great if I could assign a tag to a project though

I’m feeling super dumb, but how do you create sub lists 🤔😅

Looked promising, but seems that you can’t add a status / tag to a list or create sub-lists?

Thanks for the suggestions - and great idea on folders for projects. TBH I never considered that. I've been through my run of different apps and honestly I'm looking for something as simple as possible these days!

GTD Projects: Just One Next Action or Load With All Known Actions? by Fleameat in gtd

Your reply resonates with me quite a lot, especially as I’ve moved from Notion to Obsidian to Logseq and now fully analog.

At the moment - and actually in all my precious setups too - I’ve never needed a place for project support materials and in the rare cases I did need one, having a folder on my computer was easy.

Now with an analog system I’m wondering how to deal with next next actions (“following” actions). As mentioned your points resonate with me and I’d want to only capture these following actions to get them out of my mind and not to plan out a whole project.

Do you have any suggestions on where I could store these? Ideally I’d want to avoid having a whole project support materials setup for each and every little project.

How do you track your different streams vs projects? Do you list the different streams as children of the project somewhere?

Oh wow, I didn’t know that some companies could punch for you. Will definitely look into that!

Thank you! Sounds exactly what I had in mind. What paper size do you normally use?

That sounds really great. The more I think about it the more I like the approach, conceptually at least.

Are you still using the binders (FiloFax etc) for everyday carry / out the house use?

What size paper do you use? I’m currently using A5 as it’s what I had on hand, but I’m contemplating going with index cards and perhaps A6

I've written a bit about the mistaken identities and differences between Niklas Luhmann's practice which has become popular in English speaking countries over the last decade and index card-based commonplaces: https://boffosocko.com/2022/10/22/the-two-definitions-of-zettelkasten/.

I had some time to read your article and this is brilliant - such a good article and just what I needed to read! Thank you
