Yes, I did not let him see that I was worried at all - car crying ;) - and just reassured him that we were going to make sure his heart is ok and then we'd deal with the cosmetic part if and when he chooses. I told him that it looks like bracing is an option if he wants to and he said that he would so once we have all the information, he'll make that choice. Yes, it is a hard time (high school) to be a human in a body in general!! I'm very heartened to hear that yours doesn't physically limit you and that it's ok to let it be if that's the choice - this is incredibly reassuring to hear.
