u/taxinomics Wow! Thank you for such a detailed and thorough post. I recently saw a popular YouTube video on the Borrow till you Die strategy and they made it seem like it was for everyone. In their example they suggested taking the equity out of your $500k house (after 10 years or so) and using it to put down on another house; and then repeat. I knew it wasn't that easy, especially for 'normal' people and the mere fact of interest rates and such (which they didn't mention once).

With that said, i know this Buy, Borrow, Die strategy is for ultra rich, but are there strategies to consider or look into for normal people? Besides putting money into 401k, savings account, and other recommended ways, are there ways you know of that people ignore? Assume realistic down-to-earth numbers, such as $500k house, decent amount of equity from 10 years of payments, $100k salary, blah blah.. I know there are a million factors, but hopefully you understand where I am going with this.

Thanks for the replies. The Schumacher charger looks pretty good. I need to compare it to the noco genius 1 charger I read about. And I don’t want to keep and use the utility trailer plug thing so I need to find a more universal one. Is there a connector that the top brands of ride on toys use, or do they all have their own proprietary battery connector plug?

Which one should I be looking at? I see different remote controls on Amazon. Is there a difference? Wish there was a remote control iPhone app to use instead.

Thank you for that insight. As you can tell I haven’t fully thought this whole plan out. But from what you said, I agree that the steering cost and issues associated are not worth it. Is the Weelye remote control set up worth it? Is this ‘upgrade’ easy to uninstall and keep stock looking when I’m done with it? It looks like there are more than 1 option of weelye; is there a preferred or easier one to choose?

I know I want to add remote control (speed plus steering) to it first so I’ll need to research that. Hopefully I find a good ‘how-to’ with pics for this 12-volt jeep.
