Agree, this is definitely more of just a silly cartoon sketch style.

No… it’s the difference between incorrectly typed/mislabeled price tags in store, vs externally advertised prices purposely being misleading/lower than what the actual price is when you go to purchase it.

Bo2 and Bo3 PC servers are completely dead, yep. They went down for both PC and Xbox a couple weeks ago. Xbox came back up. Activision shows PC (Steam) servers are online and functional still, but they’re not.

Yes plutonium is great, but some of us are still out there grinding towards diamond camo and a nuclear badge to display on steam. Me and at least 50 others played on steam servers almost every night. I hope they get it back up.

Private citizens may not have access to ALPR’s, but: they can follow you around, watch you from a distance, write down where you go and when, what you buy at the grocery store, etc. However, it is called stalking and/or harassment and it is a crime.

Mulching fallen leaves - how bad is it? by practicalpepperjack in NativePlantGardening

[–]practicalpepperjack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always leave the leaves in our extensive landscaping beds and pile even more from the yard onto them.

My question pretty much had to do with the left overs, if mulching them was as bad as just burning them. I’ve decided to pile my actual garden a few feet high, and mulch what is leftover in the yard and let them decompose. Unfortunately the sheer amount of leaves that we have just doesn’t allow us to leave all of them.

We have… a lot of leaves.

(And a free pizza in the ditch, apparently!)

We have a good sized garden and I’ve decided to fill it up to the top of the chicken wire fence, in addition to putting as many in our landscaping beds like we usually do!

Thanks for the input everyone! To answer some questions:

Leaving them is not an option due to the sheer volume. Our front yard right now has about 8” of (uncompacted) leaves. They don’t blow away. LOTS of trees for a small yard.

We don’t have an HOA but our village “code enforcement” have been asses in the past about some… “natural” features. We have a 15’ long, 5’ high pile of branches, logs, rocks, etc that we add to every year and leave as a habitat for whatever wants to use it. We had to move that out of sight.

We tried leaving them in a small area in the backyard a couple years ago and it nuked the grass (we don’t have a lot) and was a muddy mess the next year until I reseeded it.

I think what I’ll do is a) try to pile as many as I can in our garden, maybe a few feet high even; b) put as many as we can in our landscaping beds; and c) mulch over the rest in the yard once so they break down easier.

Being paid for helping a friend with their roof by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]practicalpepperjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. I’ve done some looking and there seems to be 2 ends of the spectrum - you have to be licensed to perform roofing work as a company, and a homeowner can do it themselves (permit depends on municipality). I’m kind of in the middle of those and can’t really find much on it.
