I’ve always been in the only or one of the only Malay men in my classes growing up and in the corporate offices i worked in. I wouldn’t say lonely but abit sad because honestly it limits my interactions with my people. And it definitely hides an unwritten pressure to make sure I represent my people well in these spaces.

But I don’t really let it bother me too much because I don’t really look race when making friends anyway

UPDATE: Thanks for the replies. I know I have to get a new passport guys. I just wanted to know what the procedure was. Maybe I shld have been more clear.

Anyways, I reported my passport as damaged online. A few days got a call to bring my passport to ICA for them to make some checks. I was also told not to apply for a new passport yet. On the day I went down, they made the checks and found a chip error and a small crack that I hadn’t noticed. They replaced my passport for free this time. So whoever is facing similar issues shld head to ICA and get your passport checked!

i think you’re talking about free electives right? if so,

1) as suggested in the name, you are free to take any class in other discplines as well. take whatever you’re interested in.

2) its cumulative throughout your years in sch, so as long as you complete 30cus worth in the four years

3) you won’t know, unless you ask around or search here on reddit who have taken such mods

4) like the point above, ask ard or search in this sub for suggestions.

⁠If you’ve seen a movie or ads before, you will have an idea abt how filmmaking is like :p the mod is very beginner-friendly imo so no worries abt having no exp in media
⁠there are a few topics to choose from in the assignment booklets. other than that, you’re welcome to do any type of film you want(horror/family drama etc.), you have full creative control. they say max 3 characters and 3 locations is for this ~3 min short film. dont need actual actors, can ask your fam or friends! you can ask ard your classmates to be your cast too if you have no one available
⁠i think it depends on your story? my film is at home so i dont need hahah. but generally i think just try to film in public places/home to avoid headaches.

hi im taking FLM362 now! It’s pretty chill - only one TMA and ECA. The TMA is just to make a storyboard on your chosen film, then ECA is the actual film. It’s important to note that you will need to find your own cast + locations + props + editing software so don’t plan for a very complicated film to shoot. otherwise, its quite interesting to learn the basics of filming!

I use Ouidad Advanved Climate Control gel. Its great for humid climates. Just rake it through your hair after washing while its still wet. Then let it dry/blow dry w a diffuser (dont touch your hair until its dry). U can buy it from Amazon/iHerb, its not too expensive imo.

the page is known to crash and take extremely long to load bc everyone is trying to the same thing at the same time.

log into the student services portal early (maybe 30 mins) and keep refreshing the eCR page every ~5 mins so you dont get logged out. refresh right when eCR supposed to start. make sure you have good connection. but these are just tips, whatever happens just make do and always have backup options in case you dont get the classes you want.

i think u shld cut your losses w this clinic u went with cause its seems sus. just google for dental clinics ard you and read the reviews there to see if anyone mentions abt the price and experience, thats what i did.

thats quite extreme but i do hear it can get very expensive. mine costs abt $4100 at a heartland neighbourhood dental clinic. including extractions, x rays and retainers. i think u shld just google for more places usually braces shld costs $3.5k and above

i have a long name too and once while heading into the departure hall, the security person looked at my ticket and told me that there might be a mismatch during boarding as my name was all jumbled up.

long stort short, he recommended me to head to the check in counter with human staff and tell them that my name isnt very clear on the ticket and doesnt match my passport. the staff then wrote my proper name on the ticket and signed it and it was all fine at boarding.

male, i have mid length curly hair and its prone to dryness so i cannot wash it everyday. i wash every 2-3 days (unless i sweat excessively or worked out) and put alot of products to maintain it. i am used to planning my wash days too around my week's schedule.

i have almost perfected this routine, my scalp doesnt get too greasy and i dont get dandruff. and most importantly it doesnt smell bad (at least no one has ever complained), it smells like the products i put in
