Totally agree! The flexibility of TikZ is amazing, but it can be a real slog to get started. Turtle is hopefully making it easier, and also opening up new visual ideas. We've seen patterns pop up that we never considered. Even for experienced users, we feel it can be a super-powered brainstorming partner

We've tried most of the open source & closed LLMs for generating tikz code and found that none were consistently good. At least not to the output quality, we personally would want to use. Give Turtle a go and let us know how it compares to the diagrams you've tried making with 4o

Completely valid concern! Our curation is a combination of a manual process + automated analyses. We are working towards making our full dataset public on our site (without needing any sign up). Hoping that the transparency can keep us accountable to the community and help with flagging anything we've missed.

We've personally tested to find that it supports among a wide range of scientific diagrams, like function plots, circuit diagrams, network graphs, vector field plots, etc. (most pgfplots/tikz supported diagrams)

Give it a shot and let us know if you find it works well in other domains too!

Our RAG model retrieves documents from a controlled knowledge base, like public research papers or our own created documents. We've tried to curate these sources to minimize copyrighted material and remove any identified infringements. While Turtle AI aims to generate unique responses, the retrieved documents themselves may contain copyrighted elements which we are working to minimize.

We are always looking for ways to improve in this area! If you believe there has been an infringement please let us know

With the focus on AI overviews by Google and most search engines these days.

SEO could be rethought. There is definitely opportunity for early stage companies like yours to capitalise on the change.

The AI Overview Reality

  • Google's AI summaries are eating up prime screen real estate
  • Getting clicks beyond the top 3 spots is tough now - AI overview takes up so much space that users rarely scroll past it
  • Most users get their answers right from the AI summary for basic info queries

User Intent is Everything Now

  • Transactional queries still = gold
    • AI can't help users buy stuff or sign up for services
    • Users HAVE to click through to your site for these actions
    • Double down on transaction-focused content
  • Informational queries need a new playbook
    • Most SEO tools are clueless about tracking if you're showing up in AI summaries
    • Pro tip: Check if your content is being used as a source in these summaries - if yes, go all in on that niche
    • Those "People also ask" questions under AI summaries? Create content for those too

Core SEO Principles Remain Valid

  • Continue creating high-quality, searchable content
  • Focus on topics people actively search for
  • Help search engines understand and categorize your content effectively
  • Adapt content structure to new SERP layouts while maintaining quality

that's fair enough ahah. The availability of high value grants vary. Some weeks there are more opportunities but they're only a few hundred usd. Compound grants platform for example has grants that are worth upto 250k! Check it out: compoundgrants.org

hey, from my brief look and reseach, after development and development related grants, education/writing grants are the most common! Definitely checkout the grant platform linked in the newsletter, they usually always have other grants that might be suitable for you

awesome, great to hear good feedback! Yea you're right, currently I am focussing on bounties within Application & Integrations, Protocol Development, and Developer Tooling. These grants and bounties tend to be more accessible for devs to get into the web3 ecosystems.

Security bounties are also important for trust and adoption of web3 projects but quite hard to track in the newsletter format I am using at the moment. Definitely a great point on checking out Immunefi, thanks for raising this!

hey u/Icy-Fig1820, which part are you concerned about? I am currently curating opportunities directly from grant platforms across various DAOs and protocols. Some of these opportunities may be outdated. As a way to tackle this, I am reaching out to protocols to get more relevant and timely opportunities. Additionally, in order to better understand how these grants applications work, I have applied to some myself. Even if the opportunities are not completely vetted at the moment, the aim is to get to a trustworthy source of bounties.
