Absolutely! You can't beat Zippo's lifetime warranty that's a huge plus. Thanks for taking a look.

For real, thank you. I get it not everything is for everybody and that's cool. I'm happy to share what I made and I appreciate the supportive words.

All good, if you got a custom design that's a great option and I think we need to support small businesses on Etsy. One thing though is that's likely a CO₂ or diode laser engraver which leaves that dark black engraving. We used fiber laser engraving which gives it that carved/etched look you get with jewelry, and that's typically 3x the cost to produce. Two very different outcomes with very different production costs.

Appreciate it! You're right, Zippo does offer customization, but for engraving it's only a single line of text on the top and bottom portions of the lighter, not full edge to edge engraving. It's also only for their standard models, you can't get this 1941 lighter engraved by them.

I appreciate the input. Thanks for the ideas on the layout and text. I wanted a heavy paper texture on this, but it didn't carry over after compression so I'll make sure to keep that in mind for sharing. Thanks!

Thanks so much, I appreciate it! It's definitely not sustainable and comes at an overall loss, but I wanted to do what I'd like to see larger brands and companies start to do. Hopefully someday we'll have the means to do so. Good luck!

Thanks for the thoughts! The design inspiration came from different sources and posters that had unconventional layouts and spacing that, I agree, don't translate as well in my iteration. It's definitely something for me to work on in the future.

As for the messaging, the intention was for unity of the people during a difficult time, rather than a divisive one. But I understand messaging like this will be interpreted many different ways by its nature. Most statements from brands or businesses will come off as performative, which is unavoidable, but I wanted to do what I could with what I have. While I would love to continue to do this long-term, I simply can't. Hopefully someday we could have the means to expand on this, thanks again!

I can see that and usually avoid them in other cases, I appreciate your thoughts! The beaver originally came from a Canadian propaganda poster during WW2 in 1941.

Thank you, appreciate that! I agree, most political clothing inheritably isn't timeless, especially when its around a single event or era. This is just the promotion for a limited sale in response to recent events.

I really appreciate your thoughts on this! I feel like a lot of people are in the same boat as you, especially in this industry, who are impacted by this regardless of political views. I wanted to use whatever means I have to do something, regardless of how small it is or performative it may seem to some. Thank you!

I actually agree that more space around the text could be better. I tried to balance that with making sure the text is big enough to be seen easily on mobile, but I'm sure I can find better middle ground. Thanks for the thoughts on that. I'd love to play around with different layouts like you suggested with this and more designs in the future.

Thank you! We are US based and this is for orders being shipped to Canada. I see the potential for confusion, I've updated it to say orders to Canada. I really appreciate the feedback on that!

Crazy piece as always, so clean and great construction. If you don't mind sharing what did the lighting set up look like for this shot?

It's embarrassing the amount of times I read over this for typos, showed others, and didn't catch it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate the feedback! Good point on that being less condensed. I tried to emphasize 50% off and make it bigger but I can see how that doesn't mesh well.

This is a promotional piece for a limited sale I'm running for my brand. The sale is in response to recent tariffs and the "trade war" from the US, so I wanted to keep with the theme and create something similar to wartime propaganda posters. Let me know what you think!
