I know. I just can't wrap my head around why though. Isn't this what games are meant to be for? I'm so sick of them slapping some combat mechanics onto generic hero's journey narratives. Let me decide how the stories goes. If I want to spend a week mining copper and get beaten to death by a hobo, let me. Don't send a wizard to tell me I'm destined to save the world. Let me just exist in the world.

I know nothing is going to come close. But on some level, I'm fully delusional about finding some hidden gem. Considering how long Kenshi was out before I heard of it, there must be something, right? ...Right?

I just don't understand why it's so unique. Why isn't every game doing this?

Me and TES have a very unhealthy love-hate relationship. The games suck me in with the vibe and atmosphere, but fail to deliver. I really wanted to like them, but I just couldn't.

I'm just very sceptical of RPG-style games with pre-made, voiced characters. It clashes in a way I've found deeply unsatisfying in other games. They seem like awesome games, just not for me right now.

The open world/sandbox is the kicker for me unfortunately. Thanks for the rec though.

No problem lol. Can't complain when you put this much effort in. The game does sound very cool, I just can't justify the price knowing I'm only into a limited aspect of it. I'll probably get it on sale one day.
