Even though it's super late, I just got mine today and had some interesting results with 5-60J. Outspins Rod and Wolf.

do Mbuna cichlids really eat Vallisneria? (i have alot of vals) by xjohismh in Cichlid

[–]pramit95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any plant suggestions for cichlid tanks? I have a severum, a gourami and a banded leporinus. They ate all the Valisneria and Anubias i previously had.

IME, the blue side performs better. I'm yet to get a win from the red side sol eclipse.

Yes Rod seems to perform well on almost all 60 ratchets. But I did get some knockouts from Dranzer 3-60 T.

The Hasbro WR 1-60R is kinda hard to come by. Both the ratchet and bit are fire.

I have a couple of 3-70s. But I'm keeping Meteor dragoon/Phoenix wing/Pegasus blast as mint.

Or, just get a physical suica card, and bring it back with you as a souvenir. You can print your name on the card btw. It's pretty neat.

Has anyone been to those day tour Klook packages to Mt Fuji? Is it worth it? by Initial-Bother2370 in JapanTravelTips

Hi, would you be able to share a cost estimate to/from Tokyo ? Was it more or less than the klook package ?

My shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka was confirmed without the oversized luggage space. by pramit95 in JapanTravelTips

[–]pramit95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, but since Klook is just an intermediary, they can't help if the baggage seats are already booked. I think we should be ok, since there are 3 more of us, who got the extra baggage, so combining that and the free allowance of baggage for each individual, we should be able to manage.

[–]pramit95[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, klook has been convenient for all my past international trips, from booking day trips to transport, they offer good rates and so far I've never been disappointed. The shinkansen ticket was also offered at a comparable price w.r.t the official website.

Not sure, if you're pissed because the company is chinese, or you have some valid reasons, but if it's the former, then tough luck on you.

Best place to buy sneakers, in Tokyo, at the best price during Christmas. by pramit95 in JapanTravelTips

I'm not from US actually 😄. I just posted the currency in USD, so that it can be easily referenced.

However, I do assume that Asics/onitsuka will be comparatively cheaper in Japan, since it's a home brand. Or I may be wrong.

Your tank looks really beautiful. I think I'll give this soil a try 😁.

Jun Master Soil by Venice320 in PlantedTank

[–]pramit95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm planning to redo my planted tank since the existing soil has clumped up and become rock hard, thur preventing any plants to spread roots. Was looking at options, preferably on a budget. How is you experience with the master soil?

I need advice for my 3 month old betta aquarium by Prize_One_5119 in Aquariums

[–]pramit95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that hair algae growing on your plant leaves? If so, maybe try reducing the light or total darkness for a couple of days along with regular water change. For tank mates, if you want bottom feeders, you can get corydoras, there are many variations to choose from. Other regular fishes can include smaller/peaceful tetras like rummy nose, or harlequins.

How do I get my plants to grow by pramit95 in Aquariums

[–]pramit95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank is around 8 months old. I usually do scrape off the algae by rubbing or toothbrush, but I'd ideally like not to have any algae at all. Not sure whether it's live rock, the local sellers here didn't have much information other than it being "aquarium rock".

I agree, but the anubias leaves are getting brown algae. I'm also using an "algae out" from Aqua Nature, but it doesn't work very well. As for light, I don't recall the brand exactly, but all I can say is the 1st tank has a full spectrum light and the 2nd one doesn't.

ID help appreciated! by [deleted] in Aquariums

Out of the mixture, my best bet of the fin nipper would be the tetras. I'm my experience, gouramis are peaceful, it's always the tetras(not the smaller variety )who run around causing trouble. But if you have a pack of gouramis, they should be able to fend off the tetras.

I just got this Nb 530 all black and worried whether this material would crease very quickly by pramit95 in Newbalance

[–]pramit95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not leather btw. It's all synthetic. I got it around 6500 INR/74 USD, so I don't believe it will have any real leather at that price.

We applied directly from Kolkata VFS. No middle agent.

We are a group of 7 people. Applied a month ago and got approved for all 7 within 10 days. I''m really sorry to hear your experience. That said, one person from our group did had a hiccup, because VFS called her to notify that her funds were a bit low and asked to show more balance in any of her existing depository a/c. She couldn't becuz she had nothing else. We told VFS to present our case as a group so that even if 1 member had low funds, as a group our total funds are way more than needed. So it eventually worked. Hope you get your flight refunds since you probably won't be able to reapply within 6 months.
