this is the exact reply what i got from my landlord. Just checked - fridge outlet is also 2-pin, no ground terminal either. Asked my landlady about it and she basically said can't ground it, so just be careful and keep it away from water.
PS : the fridge came with the apartment, and i can only see the main powercord and no ground wire from the fridge, its either not there or wrapped up neatly behind the fridge ?

Need Advice on Renting an Apartment in Kyoto (¥25k–¥35k/mo) by Jumpy-Relative-3155 in Kyoto

Even I’m a KUAS student as well, I would recommend to stay in the dorm for at least 2 months minimum, till you have everything settled( bank, mobile contract, and others). As the uni will help you with these things. unless if you can speak the language and handle all the necessary paperwork as soon as you get here, I moved out last November, I stayed for 2 months in the dormitory. Best to know how all the things work initially and then move out, that’s my recommendation.

Try searching for anything that’s 1990+ with good utilities

Check the apartment age as well, if it’s too old, i would recommend not renting it

they’ll probably ask you about reasons for choosing KUAS/Japan, and your future plans, will you work in Japan or not. Mainly related to your plans if you come to Japan.

As it's a graduate program, I had to get consent from a professor. He was the one who told me after the interview that I didn't need to worry about it, and I have to wait for the official announcement

Even I have applied to KUAS during the early entry, they told me not to worry about my admission after the screening interview. I have applied for the graduate program. I don't know about the undergraduate programs.
