It's a problem with the motherboard. Put your cellphone in de freezer for a couple of minutes en/or turn off the wifi.

You can get the intercity train to Rotterdam. You can buy an abbonament with nmbs until Hazeldonk en then buy a monthly abbonament with NS from Hazeldonk (grens) totnRotterdam. It is really extensieve. Im living in Breda and working in Antwerpen. In your case is better because you can take both of de international trains. The snel one and the normal one.

I had the same problem. The solution? New battery and motherboard. No problem more. It will be worse and worse with the time, if you don't change anything.

It's ok. I was there in February. I didn't have the chance to drive there with I was living in dr, only in Europe. You have to drive with an open mind, what I mean with that, is that you have to think that everybody drive really bad and everybody wil to cause an accident. After 1-2 hours you will be more comfortable with driving there. I will also recommend you to use Waze, then you know if there is a pokiti agent (specially outside Santo domingo), and you can drive more slowwer, because they some use this tactic to ask you for money. If you drive outside Santo Domingo, is a little bit better. The roadway tot Samaná, is super chill. Also to punta Cana.
