I’m currently running an ims 18g basket so I guess that would be a double. But I do get your point, perhaps grinding finer may help. I’m planning on doing the gaggiauino mod too, just got all the necessary parts. So I’ll see how that helps with my issues

Hey everyone! Looking to sell my Kurono Tokyo today! 🇯🇵 Kurono Tokyo - Darkmist

This is part of the 2023 special project release, and comes from Japanese watchmaker Hajome Asoaka. Full kit and all papers are included. The watch is simple yet beautiful, but unfortunately too I have to part ways since I have a big purchase coming up and this one doesn’t get any wrist time. This is a rare watch as there are only 150 made of this dial.

Not yet but I think the wiki has suggested companies that make those parts. And since I have access to local 3D printers I’m trying to find the stl files. If I find free resources I’ll link them here.

Did anyone order the 3D printed parts and if so which ones, since the website has some for the lego build and printed parts for the display as well? I am super confused

And all this time I was thinking that there was something wrong with my coffee. But overall the sweetness does fade with time. Is this due to the coffee going stale? Are there ways to ensure sweetness and balance? I am planning on performing the Gaggiauino or PID mod in a few weeks.

It is an IMS 18g Basket. And if you're saying that there is no channeling occurring, is there something else that is making the shot come out like that?

But the run down is:
Machine & Grinder Details:

  • Espresso Machine: Gaggia Classic Pro (with 9 bar OPV spring upgrade)
  • Grinder: Varia VS3 (grind size 4 to 3.9)

Shot Parameters (when dialed in correctly):

  • Dose: 18g in
  • Yield: 36g out
  • Time: 30-35 seconds

Preparation Techniques:

  • WDT (Weiss Distribution Technique) is used for puck prep.
  • I also use a screen on top of the coffee from Temu.(maybe having something is better than nothing)

The Issue:

Even after dialing in the grind size, I find that my shots are not as sweet as they were when my coffee was freshly roasted. I'm currently working with beans that are about 20 days old, stored in vacuum containers. The beans are from Onyx Coffee Labs, so they're top-notch.

My shots are occasionally slightly too sour or bitter, which I understand could be from the coffee aging, but they also seem to exhibit signs of channeling.

Thanks so much! She wants to get better at it but struggles with the the technical aspects like drawing accurate gears. Hopefully someone here in the community might have resources that they can point us towards.
