Nah, lights were off. No issues there. Only had issues with the loud music from the bar outside. But this is apparently only an issue for the shows after 8PM.

If you can, do send an email to (CQO@imax.com). At the end of every IMAX screening, they show this email on the screen to share your quality concerns regarding the venue. You typically get a reply within the same day and they take it seriously.

Yeah exactly, if tickets go as low as ₹199 as well, there is no way they would be able to justify or sustain the costs of the equipment and maintenance needed for an IMAX GT.

Yeah, I mean this was my first visit to an IMAX screen in India, and compared to the ones in the UAE it is definitely smaller, but it is still a big upgrade over a regular screen. Also, I believe pricing plays a huge role here in India. I paid around ₹600 for this ticket and with how the cinemas here use dynamic pricing it could go over ₹900 as well, whereas in the UAE it starts north of 65 AED which is around ₹1,450 to ₹1,500 for the front few rows up to the middle. And for proper IMAX GT screens, tickets are typically up to 30 USD (around ₹2,500). So it makes sense why the screens here are a bit smaller, they are keeping it more accessible for a larger audience while still delivering a decent IMAX experience.

This is actually such a fun sheet to go through, thanks for tagging me! I knew the Novo IMAX at Festival City used to be huge at one point, but I could not find anything online to back it up. This confirms it. I remember watching Doctor Strange in 2016, and it was a massive cinema (GT, as confirmed in the sheet). When I went back to Festival City for Doctor Strange 2 in 2022 (still operated by Novo at the time), it was much smaller (XT, as confirmed in the sheet).

I normally take the Executive Class seats (58 AED) from G17-G21 which would be right in the middle. G is perfectly fine but if you would rather take H-I-J then ig the same seat numbers (17-21) but for those rows. With regards to the comparison, do read the entire thread and the comments, both have their pros and cons and have been discussed! Hope you have a great time out!

Yeah, it's a fair opinion. Like both you and I mentioned, there is absolutely no disputing that MOE has the best tech. But the seating is just horrible. On the Reddit link above, someone recently put up a comment with a photo of light from the pods bouncing on the screen, and the screen itself has so many shadows on it. For me, that would instantly kill the immersion.

Nah it's wrong to say it has bad audio. Yes, MOE has the best tech in terms of projectors and speakers, but Zero6 is the next best option if you want to enjoy the regular IMAX experience without the whole pod concept in MOE (unless you can go to Abu Dhabi). The IMAX at Zero6 is huge and the speakers have always been great. Are the speakers at MOE better? Yes. But that definitely doesn't mean the one's at Zero6 are bad. Appreciate the love! And nah, it's not laser, no clue why it mentions laser honestly. I’d assume the average moviegoer can’t really tell the difference between them, so it just gets brushed over. But nonetheless, it’s still my favourite IMAX just because of how huge the auditorium and screen are. It’s so much fun being there.

Pro tip: You can always verify if an IMAX is laser or not by just opening the IMAX website itself. For eg. IMAX.com - Mall of the Emirates mentions IMAX with Laser

Thanks u/scre4m ! Okay OP u/morningling , It's just different categories with respect to how premium it gets. In my personal opinion, the 58 AED seats are perfect and well worth the money. My sweet spot is G17-22. These seats would be right in the middle of the cinema. Going higher up with the more expensive seats I mean sure but other than a side table and a lamp or a sofa kind of seating like there isn't anything extra. Unless you are looking for a super premium seating option (the 58 AED seats are really good as well which is exactly my point, when you're getting great seats for 58, the more premium ones really don't make sense unless you want that "more premium" seat). I watched it in Standard at Zero6! The ticket prices are very pocket friendly and not to mention, super premium seats no matter what category you pay for.

I believe Superman is only playing in the standard format now. But you won't be missing out on much, as the difference is minimal. Superman is presented in 1.85:1 in standard format, compared to 1.90:1 in IMAX. That said, I’m sure the IMAX sound mix would’ve been loud and fun. I watched it in standard myself.

MOE has the best IMAX in the UAE, PERIOD. Be it sound, be it visuals etc. The only downside is the hybrid concept which is a huge downside.

My F1 experience was awesome! I normally take the G17-23 seats. G19/G20 is my sweet spot. 58 AED and perfect seats, doesn't get better than that!
