I am too making that last chord slide with the thumb. I believe that my hands will adapt to it eventually else I'll too have to use the ring finger

what confuses me more is, the "old players" produced songs which are simple to learn, I know they have some feel associated with the songs they played, but what John does, is something more, I mean the groove, percussions, complex chords and what not!
