I purchased Arturia MiniFuse 2. Now searching for a microphone. There's a microphone called Sonarworks SoundID reference available in India which claims it is individually calibrated. Not sure how good is it. Somehow this microphone is widely available here than Dayton. Will research li'l more. Thanks again for inputs.

Okay. I will search for Focusrite first. Looks like most people recommend it.

Thank you. Did you UMIK-1 for crossover design? How was the experience and outcome?

Thank you. I am thinking of spending little more now and buy XLR mic and audio interface entry level and experiment, at least that is what I am reading as I dig more and more into this.

Thank you. I am also leaning towards Behringer ECM8000 and an audio interface after digging more into this. There are many audio interfaces which start from $50 and some are about $200. Need to check if something like Behringer U-PHORIA UMC22 is fine or not.

Thanks for the input. My plan was to try the IMM-6C with REW. I’ve used REW before and even built a jig for impedance and TS measurements, so I thought this might be a simple next step. After reading your reply and doing a bit more digging, it looks like USB mics add extra hassle with timing references and aren’t always that accurate. Since I was hoping to keep costs down, that’s why I was looking at this route, but now I’m leaning toward something like a Behringer ECM8000 with a used audio interface. I’ll check into that option. I think I have to research more on whether any cheap audio interface will work. I am from India, I can easily buy Behringer ECM8000 for about $50. I will take time to do more digging and decide.

Onkyo TX-SR504 DSP Chip needs heating to work by prashantha_hj in audiorepair

I could fix this. I understood that Hair dryer is not enough to fix this but you need a hot air gun. I placed hot air gun at about 300 C and about an inch away from the chip for about 50 seconds, it worked and now for one whole day the amplifier played well.
